After reviewing the closet scene again, and seeing Firebrand's message to Noah, I think that the deviation from the "plan" occurred when Noah was sent to the hotel.

Also, those who were at the livestream know that INTERCEPTION was supposed to play... I tried to juxtapose the videos in case Firebrand's interruption corresponded with a part of the video, but I found nothing. Apparently, more time passed for the viewer than did for Noah, because INTERCEPTION is longer than the entire "incident" during the livestream.

But Observer was the one who sent Noah to the hotel in the first place. He was there when Administrator chased him away.

The smiling man at 20:40 is most definitely Noah/Firebrand. The teeth are unmistakable:

Also, just before Noah goes back in time, this is his face (from the camera perspective of "future Noah"):

Firebrand possessed Noah's body to do these things. It wasn't "future Noah" who came to take him; besides, "future Noah" is from a mere 40 seconds in the future.

If Firebrand is helping Noah, why does he still deliver the eyeball for the Observer, and why does he then go to help the Administrator take Noah on 11-11-11? If he's acting as a double-agent and following orders just to keep from blowing his cover, why did he reveal his identity during "interception"?

And, finally, was it Firebrand who killed Kat? That incident also involved time-travel and he had that same creepy smile in "Thanksgiving Footage".

I don't think Noah at Thanksgiving was Firebrand.

Firebrand was trying to help Noah, but he killed the 2 people who were helping him? I don't think that makes any sense.

Also, I was bored. I made this with my amazing photoshop skills:

Why are mentioning infinite timelines or whatever? So far we've only seen a looped timeline, where events caused by going back in time have already happened, ala Prisoner of Azkaban style. It says so right there^, perhaps Firebrand might try and change that since he is mentioning paradoxes, but we don't know for sure yet for now.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think that firebrand eventually ditches the collective and goes rogue, and he's trying to change the loop by making it so that he never joins the collective in the first place. The observer says "you will now become..." and he's interrupted before he can finish it. We can pretty much assume that he was going to say "firebrand" but future rebel firebrand cut him off.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's some more proof that rogue firebrand (the one that appears in interception) isn't in the collective anymore. Wouldn't he have said "don't let it in our hands" if he WAS in the collective?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Another small observation. Milo might not appear on camera anymore, but he sure as hell isn't dead. I mean just look at dat picture. If milo was dead firebrand would have said "You'll receive milo's journal, I'll make sure of that", but instead said Milo will send you his journal. This opens up two possibilities, Milo is alive, or that Milo IS part of the collective but went rogue like firebrand.

I must say the multiple noah's is intriguing. I lost a lot of interest in this series with the bombardment of characters (i.e. the Collective) and the cross-over with Dark Harvest.

No not me.. the other me... The one up on stage playing Johnny B Good!

But it could be a result of time travel as well. Milo might be dead, but couldn't it be possible that the journal could be sent from the past by Milo before he died? It may not be likely, but it's possible. I still think Milo is a member of the collective.

Matter of fact, what if Milo's death was an attempt at stopping the time "loops" that Noah is now undergoing with the collective member that occupies him (in this case, Firebrand)? And that, if Milo is dead, time travel would be the only way to send Noah the journal would be from the past?

I'm likely over-thinking this, but it was just a thought.

Linguistically, no, that doesn't mean he's left the collective. You can say "Nobody in the U.S. should have guns", but that wouldn't mean you're not a U.S. citizen.

Also, as I mentioned before, this video apparently shows Firebrand very recently taking control of Noah to go back in time and help his Keeper abduct Noah on his birthday, while standing there and smiling. Was he really helping the Administrator, or was he trying to show present-day Noah something?

Geez, i've followed this series since the first couple of videos, but i've never known about a good number of these characters or the time paradoxes until reading the last ten pages or so of this thread. You guys are right on the ball, UF.

I never liked the "Noah is Firebrand" theory and I want to be disappointed that it's been proven but it was just... ugh it was pulled off in the best fucking way

Like many, I didn't even realize that the closet-footage was supposed to be from The Device upon first viewing. After I realized that though the ball thing makes sense and then he goes to see past-Noah in the hotel and holy shit my mind is goo.

Here's a thought to chew on: It's been pointed out that Firebrand in the hotel video didn't appear to have a camera (he also looked like he was smiling, which Noah assuredly wasn't when he looked inside that hotel room). What if he has to go back again, next time actually as Firebrand? From an in-story perspective I can't yet think of a purpose for that but it's the best - and coolest - explanation I can think of. It's fun to think of Noah having to keep returning to these points in time because of the Collective.

I just have to say, YOU FUCKING SLY BASTARD FOR HAVING THAT AUDIO RECORDED THAT FAR IN ADVANCE FOR THE CLOSET.

God damn, didn't even think of that until people mentioned it and I went back to watch that video for myself.

That planning in advance-ed-ness makes me happy.

I agree with this. I think having him deliver the ball to his past self is exactly the trolly way the Observer would "welcome" him into the collective. Something went wrong with the plan and he ended up back in his room (presumably because Firebrand diverted him there). If that is what happened I wonder where the Observer had meant for him to go after the hotel. To kill Kat? To pay a visit to Karl to retrieve the journal? Maybe that's why Firebrand chose to do something now and why he warned Noah about not letting them get it. I hope the paradox somehow gives him a bit of an upper hand on them for once.

Yes! It's so well done. I was always so creeped out by that part of The Device because the yelling sounded desperate and scared, not like someone who was trying to attack or scare him and I couldn't figure out why. Now I know and the reason is even freakier than I thought it would be.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Even though I already knew that Noah was Firebrand I was still mindfucked by this video. God damn.

Holy shit, I didn't hear that until I listened just now. This is such quality continuity!!! Magnificent video, in every aspect.

So yeah, my mind was fucking blown when it turns out Noah either IS Firebrand, or was sent back in time by Firebrand, yet I was also disappointed because I personally thought that either Noah's old friend Liam, or even Milo, would be Firebrand, but whatever; Noah's choice.

And also, Firebrand Noah says "You're Fucking Welcome." Laughing

At first, I was a fan of "Milo is Firebrand," but it would be impossible due to the real life actor and Adam not being friends anymore. As for Liam, he literally hasn't been mentioned at all in any plot videos, so I immediately debunked that in my head. Sure, he might have been mentioned in a livestream or something, but he had literally NO impact on the story. :/

Can someone refesh my memory so i know who the hell this liam guy is?
