This year they are advertising on the post cards as being open 22-24, Thursday through Saturday. Last Year they were open Friday to Saturday right?

I read your posts, but they didn't have specifics on the location. I wasn't at last years so wouldn't know where to go.

I REALLY would LOVE to see Cindy Morgan invited to the TRON Legacy panel. She flies in on Wednesday night so she's available. All it takes is a call from someone to officially invite her.
yeah, looks like she'll be signing autographs all week...

on the schedule it says that shes part of the the tron movies...Joe said she wouldnt be in Legacy...

pixar rewrote some of the script, wonder if anythings changed.

also, talked to a disney employee last night, he said from the sneek peeks hes seen, "yeah, very impressive" he said in with a serious look. and then walked away chuckling as if to say "youre gonna be blown away..."

Yes, Cindy will be signing autographs throughout Comic Con, but am I the only one to see how cool it would be to get a photo op with all 3 original stars back together at the TRON Legacy panel?

Especially since she's now in the TRON universe and married to Alan Bradley (TRON).

She will be Twittering throughout Comic Con her thoughts and where's she at. She does fly in on Wednesday night so she would be available to be at the TL panel on Thursday morning. She just hasn't been invited/contacted. I mean it's 28 years later. There might not be too many more opportunities to have all 3 stars back together in the same place or event.

The last time they were all together I think was maybe during the 20th anniversary screening, but I'm not sure if Jeff was there which would have been 8 years ago now.

I've also heard mumblings about Daft Punk being worked into Tron Legacy's promotion at SDCC. Apparently Petco Park's been rented out for an undisclosed performer??

Just rumors from people over at a Daft Punk forum who're going as press, or know people with SDCC connections.

Nothing's confirmed of course, but I'm certainly interested in finding out if there's any truth behind it. I'd expect a sampling of the score at least.

Frequently, they show movies on the jumbotron at Petco Park (which is literally across the street/tracks from the convention center) during Comic-Con. Since the Padres are away that weekend (thank goodness - one year they weren't, and parking downtown was a nightmare), it's a giant venue for people.

Daft Punk, however, is almost certainly a no-go. Recent reports have them working feverishly to complete the score, and that they wouldn't be joining any promotional things until quite a bit later in the game.

Ah, thank you. I do hope that whoever's going gets a taste of the music though. Like how they played a track inside of Flynn's Arcade last year.

Actually, us locals consider them to be kinda fun! It's like an unexpected free "E-ticket" ride at Disneyland. So sit back and enjoy the ride! Wink
I was just wondering what it would be like to encounter an earthquake lol.
I'm in MD and we had an earthquake this morning, yay! Only problem is, I was asleep and didn't feel a thing! Now back to the topic: I highly doubt Daft Punk will make an appearance, even though Joe Kosinski said in his last interview that he'd like to have them appear somewhere during the promotional run.

Someone should have a screening of the original TRON at Comic Con. That would be fun one night. Perhaps at the park?

Ouch! I stand corrected! I did miss your post. Saw socalsteve's question and was kinda disappointed that noone responded. And lo, you did! Sorry 'bout that, and thanks for answering. Wink

Around what time do the ARG festivities usually happen? I'm thinking I might take a walk down to Flynn's after work on Friday, or maybe hang out there around lunch or something. XD
