It's for a new adventure game being developed by Senscape. If you check out the links that Nighthawk posted. http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/posting.php?p=713233&mode=topicreview&postorder=DESC#713233 Specifically the spoilered section.
Frankly I'm not sure this is going to be an ARG, has anyone gotten an email response? I sent one in before the thread was even created, based on the post in the spam/trailhead topic and haven't received anything.

Which email are you guys sending letters to? I only sent one to "admissions". I'm guessing that everyone has written both.
I haven't heard anything yet either, but also am wondering if this will turn into something more. I do hope so. Will keep the thread updated if I receive a reply.

I sent mine to Andrew Miller's email address.
I hope there'll be something more to this, it's intriguing.

Reply! A reply!
First, here's what I sent:
Quote:
Hello. First of all, I'd like to say that the Institute seems like a very
capable, well-organized place. I'm sure you're proud to be Head Director.
A question, though. What are the more "strict" methods mentioned on the
website? Just curious. Also, do you know if Mr. Hanwell had any other goals
besides simply understanding insanity?
Thank you.
The reply:
Quote:
Dear friend,
Thank you for the kind words about our institute -- they bring peace to my heart
in such difficult times. You are very correct and we don't need to hide
anything. Thus, you are invited to visit our facilities and witness for yourself
the safe methods that we are using on our patients. You will be able to browse
our library and read about Dr. Hanwell himself and his writings. His goals
extended far beyond understanding insanity, I can assure you that.
The institute will be ready to receive you, and your inquiries, in July.
With kind regards,
Dr. Andrew H. Miller
Head Director

Are people actually going to be able to go to this place?

I got a similar response, I was trying to get my sister admitted and he said they'll be open in July. My guess is they mean you can visit within the video game as they've drawn up extensive plans, some of his posts on the forum are quite impressive.

Asked about my crazy uncle who needs committed. Here's the response.
Quote:
Dear Jeff,
We will be happy to have your uncle among us. Know that he will be treated fairly and healed in no time -- I will look into it personally. Thus, you are invited to visit our facilities and see for yourself that the Hanwell Mental Institute remains the respectable place it has always been. You will be able to experience in the flesh the safe treatments that we are performing on our patients.
The institute will be ready to receive you, and your inquiries, in July.
Yours truly,
Dr. Andrew H. Miller
Head Director

ETA: notice the wording ("in the flesh");
So I'm taking that to mean it will be a physical location?!
ETA 2: ugh. I don't know why i wrote that using parenthesis and a semicolon. I've been coding up some stuff in PHP all morning. Forgive me lol!
