Curious

I'm just trying to figure out if anyone else is in the same spot as me....Did anyone else follow clues up through the last episode that left them at an intersection that has a store on one of the north corners and a parking lot on one of the south corners?
You don't have to post anything just a yes is cool Smile

Okay. What's the consensus?
CHINESE FINGER TRAP

Guys... what is everyone's thoughts on the Chinese Finger Trap?

It's colors? It's location ion the Episode? The fact that TOM solves it? Mulligan does not? The fact that Mulligan means DO OVER in Golf? Is this treasure on a golf course? The deeper meaning behind Chinese Finger Traps?

What is on your mind about it?

I don't know what to make of the finger trap. I thought it was interesting that the color of it was similar to the flag. At one point I was thinking that it may have meant digit trap instead of finger trap and toms numbers had something to do with it.

mlssry, I think so
we might be in the same place

If the store you're talking about has something to do with weddings, then we're in the same place.

I'm a little concerned because I believe this video is out of chronological order, given that we never see how the puppet got his injuries. But still, I believe I am following the clues that we have correctly.

Re: "Somewhere Under The Rainbow"
in the episode with Maddie Hayes, first it was buried but then

Thanks, both for the correct title and the original pointer to the episode.

In that show, the gold was buried on the beach (under the bridge).

Then after a wild chase, and some deception, it was kept in a storage locker at the airport and a key transferred the cache. The key had a number on it (but I would have to rewatch the episode to see if the number can be made out).

I personally vote that it is unrealistic to actually think they buried a chest.

And so instead I think we are looking for a hidden key.

I've read the FAQ and parsed the language and would find such a solution totally consistent with the venture and the precise language used. It, moreover, is interesting to consider that those bottles folks were so dubious about might fit in. That is, they announced that they Captain had dug up the treasure and rehid it. That's exactly what happened in "Somewhere Under the Rainbow" in Moonlighting. The lady client who thought she was a leprechaun had hidden in the underground vault in Maddie's living room (finding that consistent with the gold being buried). But then unbeknownst to Maddie (and Bruce Willis) had moved it to the airport locker.

So I would just recommend that people pick up any keys they see. :0)

I think it is not realistic to think that they could bury it in New York City -- it would lead to too many practical problems.

About WeLostOurGold.com

welostourgold.com is a treasure map. There is a wooden chest buried somewhere within the five boroughs of New York City, and it is filled with $10,000 in U.S. currency. If you want it, you can decode the videos presented on this website. If you find it, it's all yours.\

this is from about section of website..\ and is the reason i disagree with above post

i also still believe people are ahead of themselves thinking we are closer than we are it took us 2 episode to get outta the park and another one just to get on the train i also believe the 4th episode i think was shot out of order and most recent because i believe they realized how lost everyone was lookin for this treasure.

ps i also believe i know where the treasure is buried

I kinda agree! People seem to be moving fast. One minute they at Columbus Circle, then the train now in Brooklyn, going queens Confused

You Are Here On The Map
perhaps FellowTraveler could make a map showing everyone's location

While Missry is hanging out on street corners, I'm in Erie, PA digging on Presque Isle. I take it the consensus is that I've gone seriously astray. : )

With 4 videos left, I would focus on the journey and not the destination.

In the medallion hunt held here in Syracuse, you would never know even the park until much closer to the end. Clues will point to a location but nothing prevents the old double-reverse fake-out. Some of you folks are far too trusting of the diabolically tricky Captain.

Since there is not to much to do while hanging out on a street corner I decided to watch episode 2 again. I noticed that in fellowtravlers transcript there may be a mistake.
Captain: Skills in thy smell. Huh, is huh [garbled]
I believe this is Tom speaking not the Captain...and while it does sound like "smell" I think it's japanese....for what though I have no idea.

Crothers: Waugh ho ho ho. Knocked the sleeves off the miracle friend [garbled]
Here I think Crothers is saying "Not the sleeves of me beautiful red coat"

Also, I haven't seen anyone post about it but Tom speaks japanese a few times in episode two....as far as I know we have no translation of it. @ 1:57, 3:14 and 4:30......does anyone have any idea what is being said here?

What Tom says.

I posted awhile back that I thought Tom said (at 1:57) "Itoguchi" which means "clue" in Japanese. It can also mean "thread end" or "beginning"

I am currently reversing the Entire Ep. 2 to check audio, but I don;t think it will reveal much.

何も
(Nani Mo)

That means nada in Japanese. Nada is Spanish for nothing.

I found nothing backwards in Ep. 2
