I paused the first Episode. It is the "Maddie Hayes" who is a character from an old show, Moonlightning. She was played by Cybill Shepard.

I am not convinced of the Columbus Circle statue theory. Grand Army Plaza is in Brooklyn. The statue on the edge of central park is the USS Maine Memorial monument.

Maybe the pirates hid their gold at the Apple Store - which is right across the street from there...or at the Plaza Hotel.

Since the game/hunt/contest is suppose to run until Sept 19, I'm guessing the next clue will be released next Sunday August 8th.

 		Don't make this too hard you all.....
I think we are looking for one word answer for each of the 8 episodes to spell out a message of where to dig. I already have the first word. Just watch the video carefully and see the area of the park that is "missing" on the walking trail of Central Park. Hint: Watch the flashback (something goes missing here in the video too and look at the location the captain is), then look at the map of Central Park (if you have a good one with all the attractions on it). If you listen to the video and mark down all the places on the path, then look for the missing one, you will find the "word" you need. Very Happy I would like to work with someone from NY locally. I think we would have a good chance to win this. I have some ideas of where this may be. Would like to have someone to brainstorm with. PM me.
