In the comic book, the gravestone says:

Take another look. You will see that the comic book does say 1805 not 1809. It actually does have the correct dates for the life of Lord Nelson.

TOOTH CLEANING WORKOUT KIT
TOOTH CLEANING WORKOUT (s) KIT

on the advertisement for the TOOTH CLEANING WORKOUT KIT there is a small s added, perhaps indicating it is useful for an anagram.

E. C. may be E. C. Segar, creator of Popeye?

Of course it is. There's a Star wars "N. Hope" one in there too Smile

I just posted the sixth episode transcript over here.

As usual, I will post my analysis tomorrow. But I can confirm the following references:

1. The gravestone shown in the first panel of the sixth page of the comic book is a reference to Horatio Nelson.

2. The second gravestone shown (in the third panel of the sixth page of the comic) is a reference to E.C. Segar, the creator of the Popeye character.

3. The third gravestone shown (in the fifth panel of the sixth page of the comic) is a reference to Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, which was released in the U.S. in May of 1977 and was released in special edition form in 1997. Presumably the puppetmasters are not fans of the special edition re-release.

You're welcome!

To give you a preview of my thoughts regarding this episode. Here is a list of forts in New York City:

Fort Wood, Fort Amsterdam, Castle Clinton, Fort Hamilton, Fort Jay, Fort Lafayette, Fort Schuyler, Fort Totten, Fort Wadsworth, Fort Washington, Castle Williams.

Of these only Fort Amsterdam, Fort Jay, Fort Wadsworth, and Fort Washington were ever under the control of the British. I think trying to place the two forts depicted in the comic will be the key to finding the location revealed this week. It is also clear now that the proper timeline for the series is episode 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 4.

I was just watching the clip of them pirates on MSNBC and something struck me, the interviewer said "so there are eight episodes and eight clues" to which Crothers replies that's right. So now I'm thinking each episode has only one clue rather than many different clues as has been posted here. This cold be that the entire episode points to the clue or that the clue is somewhere in the video and the rest is just for entertainment purposes. Anyway, thought I should throw this bit of info out there. Any thoughts on this one? Can we have been collectively over thinking this whole thing? Ideas?

I say anylise everything, find your connecting clues and go from there. Its good to research everything as far as you can and look for anything connected to the theme, the map, etc. I agree tho, that only a few clues are important.

i'd rule out the governor's island forts. the island itself is only open during the summer, closing in late september/early october. the gold, if i recall correctly, was buried in november.

Don't know

I don't know if anyone noticed this or if it was previously mentioned but throughout the comic book scenes there were certain word that were BOLD , I would imagine if you took all these words they would create a clue somehow.
