They call it Snake Road

And finally... (at least I'm overloaded with clue possibilities and am going to take a break) Brookville Blvd, in Queens near JFK has a winding stretch supposedly nicknamed "Snake Road":

Episode 2 redux...

HEY...has anyone noticed at the beginning of Ep 3 (The Larry King) that Crothers arm is already missing, and his hat is gone (see at about the 28 sec mark, the 4th time he is shown)? So now this confuses the time line for me--Crothers loses his hat in Ep 3, but his arm in Ep 5.

HELP... Foily!

Brainstorming the Mr. Tahari clue and looking for elegance
when do you not believe he likes your outfit?

"Also up for grabs is the entire 51st floor of 1 Central Park West, which is estimated to be worth at least $18 million."

Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/business/realestate/residential/splittin_DIb1re8ccFEmsC3nm3meaL#ixzz0z7csDAVb

FWIW, the address, I believe, overlooks the Unisphere at Columbus Circle at 1 Central Park West.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=New+York&state=NY&address=[1-5]+Central+Park+W&zipcode=10023&country=US&latitude=40.76857&longitude=-73.98149&geocode=BLOCK

But consider this other anecdote that may tie in later with the Captain use of a flickering light (in one of the remaining episodes):

On the way up, Mr. Tahari waxed poetic about the pleasures of living in Central Park.

"I owe a lot to Central Park," he said. "When I came to New York about 30 years ago, I didn't have a place to stay and I didn't know anybody, and I slept in Central Park for a few weeks." Then he turned to his wife. "All I think of Central Park is you," he said.

"When we were first dating," said Mrs. Tahari, "we were on the phone and were each living on Central Park and he said, 'I miss you,' and I said, 'I miss you too,' and he said, 'I think if we got a flashlight and went to the windows and flickered it we could see each other,' and we could."

"That's romantic," said Mr. Tahari.

Comment:

Of course, if he had told his future wife that he liked her outfit, she might not have believed him. : )

Where did they live on Central Park at the time they were first dating and flickering lights to each across Central Park?

Next, how many have you found the sailor giving a peace sign with an anchor tatoo on his hand? i's in the top right corner of the blank grass(weeds in sand) scene.

I don't see what you are talking about. You mean the scene where the monkey crosses the frame carrying the GA advert around 3:30?

Quote:

Upon close inspection and some inverting and magnifying, I believe that Black dot on the inverted/or bright light on the regular grass(weeds) scene is a lighthouse.

I see a light spot in the middle of the frame, no black dot though.

Hm, yes, good eye. I think I discount it as a clue. I think it was a mistake. They just put in scenes from several of the videos and had a rare slip-up in continuity. I guess you could take it as meaning The Larry King is "on tape", not live. The hypothetical producers of TLK made the intro later, after all the action in the other videos had taken place.

I think you're trying to convince yourself that there are clues where there are none. Even with your drawings I don't see anything like what you're claiming is there.

Wow, dude.

SpyGuySailor... I've been one of your biggest fans around here, albeit silently. Although you are most likely certifiable, some of your ideas may hit paydirt... you have been ingenious in your imagination, creative in your deductions and vigilant in your vision.

But this LAST one? What with your inverse-spectro-analytical-neutral-hyper-vision thing and the maniacal scribblings of a lighthouse and such?
Yeah... man overboard, buddy. I'm throwing you a lifeline.

Ease off the crazy clutch, bro Smile

As for Crother's arm....

I noticed a PUSHPIN in Crother's arm in Episode 5, right above the third arm-buckle (yes, i have been scrutinizing these videos like that.)

I am a puppeteer, and I will tell you that any way to lighten these puppets while shooting is an advantage taken. I assume that Crother's was always intended to lose and replace his arm and the pushpin was there to hold the removable arm in place, with the arm-buckle hiding the "gristle and bone" felt in the cross section.

I assume if you saw for a moment that Crother's arm was missing in Episode 3, that it was in error. They DID NOT make it a point to show you his arm was missing by making him gesture, or showing that he had replaced it with a "peg-arm".

Good eye, though. You should get a job checking for continuity.
