Am I alone in being unable to connect to their Facebook page using both the site FB link and the source info http://www.facebook.com/pages/We-Lost-Our-Gold/129123233775707 ? If so....GRRRR

I can access the facebook site from the link you posted, so you should be able to access it as well.

man, and I just moved out of brooklyn to virginia! Damn timing.
So does anyone know who's sponsoring this yet? I went through the page code and couldn't find any hints.

http://welostourgold.com/unavailable.jpg
incidentally it's the same thing here: http://default.secureserver.net/
eta: looks like a domain registration issue with godaddy

I get an error on www.welostourgold.com as well.
I wonder if they are moving to another server or something? But maybe that would create a different error.
Perhaps they realized they need to beef up security or something like that?
If they have a GoDaddy issue at this early stage, it doesn't look as if they have everything together.

That error message is not a native GoDaddy error message. Trust me on that: I have seven GoDaddy hosting accounts with 27 domains.

Not the first person with this problem as it seems:

huh. I'm glad I was wrong about the GoDaddy thing, I want this game to be successful for everyone concerned. Still, this domain registration thievery should be interesting to watch play out. I'm very curious as to what the heck actually happened here.

Read the link natas posted, that's where I got my info from and it is most definitely related to domain registration and very likely godaddy.
I doubt you've ever had issues with your domain names being "held" and therefore wouldn't have encountered this Nighthawk.
Guess I should post sources
ETA: The domain wasn't "stolen" if you read the forum, it means someone brought up an issue about the validity of them owning the domain in question.

Actually, I *did* lose one domain to GoDaddy because they said what I was doing with it violated Terms of Use on their site. They claimed the domain for a full year without the possibility of appealing it.

Oh. Now that's interesting
Anyway, seems it is definitely godaddy related, secureserver.net is one of their nameservers.
Source! lol

Love on the map their note to "try ta avoid" lmao
Okay...I'm clear across the country but I would love to armchair this one. Unless what they mean by clues are in the videos is the clues are IN the videos and not the content of the videos, which wouldn't surprise me.
I don't know the first thing about NYC enough to really contribute though but whatever, it is very cute and a clever concept. The puppets sold me.
Actually, Ninja sold me when he "heheh."
I noticed in the trailer that the burrow shots are all landmarks. What are those. Could this be a triangulation clue maybe to provide some sort of boundary line?
Also capped this image. Looks like it could be taken from a boat cabin in the water, perhaps...or a building along a pier area? Anyone know where this skyline through the window might be?

that is... That is a picture of the brooklyn bridge through the windows. and from what i can tell, it is on the brooklyn side looking out towards manhattan (looks like the FDR in the far right window).
thats is about all i have been able to figure out right now. I live about 10 min outside of manhattan and will def be working on this!
if anyone would like me to go search for them, let me know!
