Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island is one of my fav places to go, my aunt lives there. With that in mind, I figured no one would think to look there. I have a 6 foot metal rod about a quarter inch in diameter that I have been shoving into the ground listening for a thunk since episode 3 when I joined the hunt. If it is on RI, I cannot figure out where. I've even been poking in the community garden looking for an unoccupied space...

To quote Crothers, "Now ya've gone too far!!"

Please don't start digging holes here, people! Between all the Brooklynites coming over the Verrazano and moving here, plus the weight of the dump, the island's starting to SINK! Besides the fact you'll probably find Jimmy Hoffa before you find anything of value buried on this worthless rock lol

Aright...

We DO have a lighthouse here, but I DO NOT recommend digging holes there. Darned thing is on private property.

US STATEN ISLANDERS DON'T TAKE KINDLY TO YOU CITY-FOLK WHAT WITH YER FANCY SHOES AND NOT HAVING TO PUT A JACKET ON TO GO TO THE BATHROOM!!!

Seriously, though...

What would make anyone think it's buried here? The only indicator that suggests this is the "British forts" thing and we haven't even gotten a general consensus on that.

Look, wrestling fans. Here's what I tinkitty tink:

- It won't be buried on commercial property (good luck digging a hole in front of CitiCorp Plaza, for example).

- It won't be buried on private property (good luck digging a hole in Old Lady McGinty's front yard without her calling the cops).

- It won't be buried in a park. I used to work in one. Trust me. The "green shirts" (Parks Police) won't take too kindly to such infractions.

- Any kind of historic landmarks or preserved land is also out of the question.

- The puppeteers MUST have some way of knowing whether or not the thing was dug up. We've already established they're from Brooklyn, but Brooklyn's pretty big. What part? Would you wanna drive from, say, Prospect Park all the way to Tottenville, here on Staten Island, every day, just to look at a mound of dirt? If that's the case, the Port Authority should hold a banquet in your honor, because the Verrazano's $11.00, and you just paid for their children's children's college education as well as braces for little Betty Sue.

Come on, peeps! TINK!

An outdoor webcam? lol they're puppeteers from Brooklyn, not the CIA.

And to correct my previous post the bridge is run by the MTA, not the Port Authority. Don't want people tinkin it's some sort of "clue" they overlooked lol

No.

There are free webcams all over the city. You can simply get the address and watch... or maybe it's INSIDE a building. Near their studio or residence.

You can link them through Google, by the way.

and FYI?

I happen to BE a puppeteer from Brooklyn, and I can set up a webcam to run 24/7. In fact, I use one to keep an eye on my dog... through my iphone.

You serious? I never knew that...

Kinda lends a whole lot of credence to them conspiracy theorists who think the government is watching them every minute of every day lol
