 Eureka moment
I've finally had mine

Holy great flying spaghetti sushi eating monster Jesus!!!

I've finally had my Eureka moment. I'm actually shaking a little with my own thought. Of course I could be totally wrong, but it's the only thing that makes sense, to me. Right now. Finally.

I don't know what I can say here that wouldn't clue others in on this idea. But I'm not kidding. This isn't a rouse. It's so elegant, so simple!

I'm heading home. I may not sleep tonight.

- True

Pastafarianism
September 19

I converted to Pastafarianism yesterday.

The first time my friends tried to convert me, we went to see Eraserhead on campus after dinner.

I thank everyone who has posted here but I have an idea. Its probably nothing, but has anyone though about the Brooklyn Promenade? Its the only place in brooklyn where you can see the skyline and lady liberty...

250 from the begining of the walk? Question

I was led there too, at one point, with all the talk of 'an homage of an homage' and then i was grasping at straws with the 'Genevieve BEAVERS EARle' tribute. There were some other things too that I tried to make fit for that area for a while before I turned to Queens: Willow St, Tutt Cafe, Columbia, the skyline, view of the docks. I really can't remember what else drew me there but yeah, I see why you did.

I've had to drop off (full time school, full time work *sad face*) but im rooting for a few people on here. As far as spyguy, I actually was seeing a lot of the things he was. or maybe i was just trying to believe it. but either way, im def curious. and of course, fellowtraveler deserves some type of compensation for those great transcripts. you hear that, treasure finder?!?

Good luck, all!

Just the other day you were eluding to the fact that you were at Hell's Gate.

No where NEAR Staten Island.

What would make anyone think it's buried here? The only indicator that suggests this is the "British forts" thing and we haven't even gotten a general consensus on that.

Look, wrestling fans. Here's what I tinkitty tink:

- It won't be buried on commercial property (good luck digging a hole in front of CitiCorp Plaza, for example).

- It won't be buried on private property (good luck digging a hole in Old Lady McGinty's front yard without her calling the cops).

- It won't be buried in a park. I used to work in one. Trust me. The "green shirts" (Parks Police) won't take too kindly to such infractions.

- Any kind of historic landmarks or preserved land is also out of the question.

- The puppeteers MUST have some way of knowing whether or not the thing was dug up. We've already established they're from Brooklyn, but Brooklyn's pretty big. What part? Would you wanna drive from, say, Prospect Park all the way to Tottenville, here on Staten Island, every day, just to look at a mound of dirt? If that's the case, the Port Authority should hold a banquet in your honor, because the Verrazano's $11.00, and you just paid for their children's children's college education as well as braces for little Betty Sue.

Come on, peeps! TINK!

Thats pretty lame to suggest that only the british forts were connected to staten Island, obviously you did not do youir research into all of the clues....so I will give you a hint. Quit lookin' then...cuzz ye aint gonna find it anywhere else.
I see its gonna get nasty in here, so let me tell all you sesamestreetgangstas chasing the count through Belvedere castle...that its not in CP, Its not anywhere over there...ITS IN STATEN ISLAND.
Obviously you staten Islanders are the lamest treaure hunters in NYC....thats why they put it there...you have never found any of your lost treasures there...ever!

But there ain't no castles here, either, padna!! Lemme tell you that when I first got my license I drove EVERYWHERE on this island. Sometimes aimlessly without ever leaving it (since we were far too broke to do so, and we hadn't yet discovered the Sacred Treasure of E-Z Pass). Trust me. NOTHING in these videos rang any kind of bells for me.

UDbmas, can I get a witness on this?

Although I think spyguy is definelty a bit off his rocker... I must say... ALL of my clues point to a spot in Staten Island as well.

Really? But not one person in this entire forum mentioned The Bronx at all, which is also pretty big. We've been limiting ourselves to Brooklyn, Manhattan, SI, and Queens. Just saying at this point maybe we should step back and look at the "bigger picture" since obviously no one's found it, yet.

I am hoping it is in the BX...trust me (easiest place for me to search)!!! lol But there really aren't many places in the BX to put it. ALL of my clues coincidentally lead me to one spot on S.I., and the only thing holding me back from taking that dreaded trip, is an EXACT location once I get to the spot to dig at.

lovers, dreamers and me
getting back to the times that were

SpyGuySailor,

You are calling the lovers, the dreamers and me gangstas?

I'm the only one urging that people feel the love and pursue their dreams.

That's never bad advice and again it applies equally to you.

I never for a second would seek to dissuade you from whatever it is you are doing. It would serve no purpose and I'm glad you are enjoying and are enthused about the treasure hunt. I'm glad to see you pursuing your dream.

In the only post I've made referring to you, I meant mainly to recommend the book by a friend of Kit Williams about the hunt given that you raised the subject and the book, as I recall it, is useful in understanding that hunt.

I'm not anywhere in NYC, am not hunting for the cache, and so don't mind the occasional cute puppet video.

Here, Kermit gives especially apt advice.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4s155_rainbow-connection_shortfilms

I would discuss Hell's Gate but that sort of a connection perhaps would be a poor marketing decision by the puppeteers.

Best regards and good luck.

BTW, I am especially appreciative of people like SoloJoe, jrc, and UDbmas who provide subsidiary clue solutions. As a quick example, the latin translation of home sweet home is nothing I would have known.

I visit the forum hoping to have people educate me on things such as the first scene with the song, Tom's last comment, or the reason for ending "Fin."

not by the hair of my finny fin fin

Fin is a fancy-filmy french way of saying "the end".

Ok so maybe not so fancy, but truly common enough.
