No.

I'm saying that "The NORTH REGION" applies to Clue 4.

28 Furlongs North from Columbus Circle.

Black Tom is BACKWARDS, get it? They establish that his clues go forward, then reverse it.

Scratch that....

28 Furlongs DUE NORTH of COLUMBUS CIRCEL would put you in Jersey....

Unless, Of course, the directions stay along the subway line, then it puts you up near Columbia University and Riverside park.

Maybe you don't put it there... maybe you use it after that "port of courtland", but i am absolutely certain you use it in the episode prior and not after.

For people who are skeptical about the colors being associated with train lines, you should know that the bus lines are also color coded (along with having distinct numbers) on the map. Who knows, maybe the clues point you to the bus stops in/around Columbus Circle, or farther south by the CNN building?

I understand the logic of moving that CLUE backwards, but the remainder of the episode belongs after Monkey Business, when Crothers loses his leg. Remember, only Tom's clues are moved to different episodes, and the Furlongs clue is different.

Re: Seats / Lines / Whatever

But whatever. I'm not here to argue about seats. The episode is about being on the subway and being on a certain line.

BUt that's what you find yourself doing, anyway. The question being discussed was not about seat colors. The issue was whether the colors behind them denoted train lines, as seemed to be the popular conception, or if the colors were merely seat colors. You insisted that the car type by line is mix-a-match, which is absolutely not the case. To prove this you provide that the seat colors differ from car to car. Not really on point and far from making the original suggestion an 'epic fail.'

The question still remains which line they take, if that is relevant, and whether it can be gleened from the background colors in their respective frames. Following the colors pedantically leads to outrageous and inconceiveable outcomes, so new ways of finding the lines -if important- is in order.

...which would also better account for the "fortificaitons out of this zone" issue in episode 6(?) - if it hasn't been mentioned before, I have heard that some buses in Brooklyn & Queens operate on the Zone system.

maybe not so EPIC but still a FAIL!

If my one brief trip to the subway station proved the seat theory wrong, then it is not valid or substantial. Clues given should be constants.

Besides... if they tell you WHAT STATION to go to in clues.... they don;t need to tell you what line to take. You can figure it out.

The Black Tom
...

I wouldn't even go down the road of the black tom being anywhere but directly after episode 6. Not only do Crothers injuries follow linear order but think about the position black tom is in at the end of six. He is hanging upside down. Now think of all the clues in 4.

Order is most definitely 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 4, 7, 8

GO FISH!

"With nearly 29,000 acres of parkland to enjoy, it's easy to forget that New York City is surrounded by water. And if you're looking to escape the bustle of the city for a few hours in the outdoors, there's no better way to do it than to GO FISH!

NOTE: The Central Park Reservoir and Turtle Pond are closed to fishing."

Spaniard is gonna be displeased with that last note!

Doesn't it have to be 12356478 because crothers is dead at the end of 7?
