Re: highest point
Vista Rock

The map in my previous map also has elevations marked. I have only taken a quick look at it, but it looks like the highest elevation is Vista Rock (at 140 ft). It is near the Shakespeare Garden and Belvedere Lake. The footpath also seems to run under it (the cave?).

Both are high, but according to this site
http://www.centralpark.com/pages/attractions/summit-rock.html
Summit rock is higher. The site says Summit is 137.5 feet and "a few feet higher" than Vista. So, conflicting information. Summit certainly sounds higher. Although it is definitely not the highest point in the park, Overlook Rock has been suggested because it is a locally high point and fits in the small region of the park with many of the other locations. Check earlier in the thread for more discussion.

The castle could also be an option for highest point in the park....part of the structure stands taller than any of the rocks.

Ok, now I'm getting into this.

According to a Facebook entry by the Captain, his stuffed animal's name is actually spelled Tutty

Hm, interesting. He did pronounce it more like "Tutty" than "Tottie". But that article I found about Tottie (without very much searching, really) was so amazingly relevant to this episode I still have to believe it has something to do with it.

Found all Tom's Numbers!
Lamppost Numbers in Central Park

Ok so I found 6229 on top of Rat/Umpire's Rock on the north side of the bridge. Thanks fellowtraveler for making the map!

Mulligan
his name

just thinking out loud right now but tell me it this makes any sense. Mulligan appears to be the slapstick character in this series, the puppet that messes up or gets things wrong the first time around. In golf a mulligan is a bad tee shot where you get to retake your first shot without penalty. Apply this logic to this character. when switching the letters around (pentral Carp, belly jeans) it was not a hard clue to figure out what he meant. His second rant when switching the words sill and sell but then misspelling it has to mean something greater (take a look at it again around 5:05). i think there is something more to that than we first thought.

Johnny Longbottoms

Longbottom is a name probably best known in modern times for the prominent Wizarding family of Neville Longbottom. The name is also in The Lord of the Rings. Neither family has any Johns or Johnnys mentioned. But it is a mundane-world name as well:

Many google results are for a musician (acoustic, traditional Irish):
http://www.johnlongbottom.com/

There is a Johnny Longbottom on Facebook, who has the graphic "Pirates Only. No Trespassing. All others will walk the plank." I kind of assume that this one is the one referenced, if there is any meaning to it. I don't do Facebook, but if someone who does wants to look more at this guy, it might be a good idea.

Jonny Longbottom is the "name" of the writer to this web series. Because they all want to hide their identity to ensure that no one cheats they have surnames. I looked into it too but i don't think it has any real significance (just yet at least)

Chinese finger trap , could finger mean digits here? Are the numbers a trap?

I think it's sort of strange they used the same colors for the trap as they did for the flag. Does the flag have meaning? And what's with the six legged octo on the chest?

Thank you for doing the actual legwork once again. Here is the further revised map. I don't think we can expect to see much more in the way of developments until the next episode is released.

Is this using the Morse statue as the starting point? It doesn't seem that Wallach Walk is incorporated here.

The start point is still Wallach Walk, it is just cut off in that map, since it didn't really seem to add all that much to show what we all agree is the starting point relative to the extra image size that would be needed to display it. You can see the start point in my previous map here. As the game progresses I imagine we will be leaving Central Park at some point so the scale of the map will have to change anyway.

As much as I applaud your deductive reasoning, I do want to point out that it is spelled "Tutty" according to the Captain, so I think you guys may be off on the wrong direction.

Hi fellowtraveler:)
The only map that I could find that lists Wallach Walk http://www.mmm.edu/alumni/images/mmcphotos/MasterSpringSurveyMap.pdf
is in a different place than what you have.
Did you have a Central Park map that you could share that shows exactly where Wallach Walk is? This has been confusing me all week!
Thanks, Melissa Smile

sorry my links never come out right
