I'm pretty sure that there is no question that they are smacking us in the face with Jackson Hts/Roosevelt.

The end of episode 2 has them entering the subway station ("Be everyone safely below?")

Episode 3: reference to "mind the gap", which I'm pretty sure I remember seeing signs in NYC subway cars saying that. Mulligan talks about seeing a station with 4 docks (point #4 on the split screen: There are 4 in the crew. He's seen 4 docks.) So we're looking for a station with 4 docks. Exactly at the moment when Fafa says "how'd I get up here? is this a clue?" there is a very clear shot of Jackson Hts/Roosevelt station to the right of his square, and then when they switch back to him later, they show the exact same shot, in case we missed it the first time. The background colors of their squares are the same colors as the lines that run through Jackson Hts/Roosevelt station. I don't see any other way they could point us there without them writing "JACKSON HTS/ROOSEVELT" across the screen.

As I've suggested before, I think the talk about Port of Cortland is meant to steer us away from whatever the Port of Cortland is. It is brought up, and then shot down and crossed out. It's supposed to tell us where NOT to go. I've also mentioned the 5 bus stops on the same block where Cortlandt street is, which I think is a valid interpretation.

Okay then. Instead of CANCELING Roosevelt/Jackson, we put it on hold until we have canceled ALL OTHERS. Fair enough?

It's back-burnered.

dpn,

you could be right. I said that because everything that I have solved for certain thus far (thats basically only ep 1 and ep2) can be seen online. There are detailed maps of central park plus descriptions of monuments all online. Then used googlemaps to look at the Maine monument and the "silver coast of africa"

as of right now the clues in the first two episodes are really the only clues i am convinced on.. sad considering how many weeks this has been up for.

I'm Here

I'm here Captain. I like to observe and add in when I have something meaningful, but when it comes to Port of Cortland I got nothing. I feel like this single clue became more complicated than they intended. I feel like when and if we figure it out it's going to be one of those smack yourself in the head type moments.

I'm really strumped on this one.

We are still at Columbus Circle.

It's got five lines that run through it. The A, B, C, D and the 1.

from what I can tell from maps, there are two stations at Columbus Circle, one has the A,B,C,D lines, the other has 1,2 lines. A total of 6 docks split between two stations

all the clues are in teh vids

As far as the clues we need that is all online, they have told us many times that the only physical evidence of the hunt in the city are flyers for the web site and the chest of gold

Jackson

If we do end up at jackson then that helps reconcile the star's location

What is the time where you said you can see that station clearly in the background?

edit:: nevermind... its at 5_50 ish if anyone else wants to look

Here's another way of thinking about it. The puppet guys have already demonstrated that they are willing to be asynchronistic (if that be a word). How about whatever trains they take, it puts them in Queens, but the issue of Courtland is that when they go back into Manhattan they have to take the 4 train but not the 5 train which is on the same track.

I for one, I think that Tom's reverse comment could fit right there after 3, and then the rest of the episode 4 goes elsewhere.
The next episode has the captain saying I hate Queens, and later he says he turned around. To me that means they're out of queens. I'm not sure where because the numbers are very purposeful in being confusing. the flashback of the captain, the interview featured player puts him somewhere in the East River. I say its a flashback because he won the parrot AND he won Crother's hand so there were two hands he won since losing tutty, and neither were for money.

PS regarding the star, from Tom's perspective I'd say he was aiming for Manhattan, and its only when Larry turns that we think its in Queens.

"there is a very clear shot of Jackson Hts/Roosevelt station to the right of his square,"

can u explain this? I assume youre talking about on the larry king map. I paused it at that point and dont see any clear evidence there

If you notice, Fafa is at or near the station when he is below, and the captain goes off to light Crother's hat on fire to distract the others. He provides proof in a black and white photo, which shouts pay attention to the colors (or the opposite).

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the forum and obsessed with the hunt. You guys have some really great ideas and I wanted to bounce some of my own.

Not sure if this was mentioned (I didn't see it in my perusal of all the pages) but perhaps we're reading the Port of Cortland wrong and perhaps DOCKS is actually a verb.

Like "4 docks at the Port of Cortland" - Could this possibly mean the 4 train terminating at Van Cortlandt Park - Woodlawn station? I know it's probably a stretch, but just wanted to get it out there.

I agree that this episode is really the one that needs to be solved and that P of C is probably way simpler than we're making it.

Google maps says it does, and the MTA/New York City Transit site says it does at night (hmm, episode 2 says wait until nightfall)

That is similar to my reasoning above. You can't see the 4 and the 5 at the same station. Smile

Okay... look.

I've got an idea.

So far, we've been following a trail of public works of art and sculpure.

Balto, Literary walk, The Dairy (it counts) etc....

So... the lines that run out of Columbus Circle (A, B, C, D, 1)

Check this link:

http://www.mta.info/mta/aft/permanentart/permart.html?agency=nyct

It's a list of PERMANENT ART in the subway systems

Each of us take a line... (I'll take the B line) and search EACH STATION UP & DOWN for Art that reflects ANY of the following:

Camelot / King Arthur references, burning hats and/or halos, Port of COURT and or Court of Port references... etc.

Read, and look and investigate.

Chime in. Who's got what?
