Hint on Broadway? No...

Hi guys! Thanks for the repost of a clip of our online show that is on the Pirate's Facebook page:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xiMrBCo9TdI

The pirates were nice enough to recognize our reference on Facebook, but I am a cast member of the show, and I can tell you, there's no hints here. We're just an Off-Broadway improvised online sitcom in New York, and we used it as this week's storyline for fun because two of the cast members are on the hunt. We're not trying to throw anyone off on this great forum. We are just fans, and love this process. Happy hunting!

Pierre
God I Hope Not

Pierre if they buried it in the middle of East New York like you suggest, then there are two problems.

1. The gold is gone.

2. All the pirates have been murdered.

That is like the worst neighborhood in the whole city, I wouldn't walk around there in the middle of the day, hell I wouldn't even drive around there.

That's hilarious (and true). I actually took a walk around Times Square today (I know, I'm a masochist).

First off, that loud continuous sound -- I've been noticing it for YEARS. I never knew it was deliberate. Worst. Art. Ever. But cool to know and be able to share.

Second, those gold lids are part of the subway. One of the three is marked as such, all three bear the same triangular key bolt. they are all directly above the subway and/or next to open grates. Also, opening one would definitely get you arrested.

Thanks
I think I'm hilarious too

Don't think they would be able to bury it near Times Square or anywhere in midtown.

There are cameras everywhere on every building. It has to be somewhere in the outer boro's

I didn't think so either. I had a chance to walk the area anyway, and decided to check it out if only because I was curious what exactly the gold doors were for. (Obviously not the treasure.)

I do believe the gold is not in a park, or else not a very large park, but I'm not ready to share my thinking on this just yet...

another question is... why couldn't they make a video of them burying it? They say "We can't show footage of the chest going into the ground; it might give something away", but if it was just in some park, they could zoom in close enough just to show the hole with grass/dirt. So maybe it's "buried" in an usual way, i.e. not in a hole that was dug in some park.

When fafa is in the top box and says how did we get up here, is this a clue, we're on the right track. I originally thought that meant the blue line heading north. But I do like the theory of going over a bridge, does that happen anywhere leading into the bronx? Maybe it may mean elevated tracks. I know the subway comes out of the ground for the bronx. Is it for all of the bronx or just some parts/lines? Also, does anyone know of places in Queens or Brooklyn that has elevated lines?

7 is elevated from Queensboro plaza east

I live in the Van Cortlandt Area. The 1 Train is above ground. The 9 train used to run the same route. 225th street is cut off between manhattan and the bronx on this side. I remember someone mentioning a statue near the cemetery? Are u referring to the General Josiah Porter (1830–1894) ? or the Tortoise and Hare statues in the Park?

Was it the 1 and 9 only on the same route? Does anyone know where we can get a subway map before they made all the changes? The cemetery is important for their final destination off the subway, at least for Mulligan and Crothers. The other 2 catch up to them in the cemetery. The statue that most people were referring to was the one of the angel holding the cross in the comic book. I felt like this was possibly Woodlawn Cemetery, right next to Van Cortlandt Park. I can't find that exact statue, but there seem to be a lot of angels with crosses in the particular cemetery.

Now I just need to find something with a giant snake or serpent relating to that area!

Thanks for that turtle sculpture find!! That is pretty interesting!

Here is a website for all MTA maps. http://www.nycsubway.org/maps/historical.html
If you look at any of the 2005 (Feb edition, before the 9 train gets the boot) you will see both the 1&9 trains. Van Cortlandt Park has 2 sides & 2 cemeteries. The one of the red line, is almost ancient and i'm not even sure the headstones are still there. The green line # 4 is the woodlawn cemetery which is fairly famous and much larger. I am not to familiar with that area.

 New spot
Battery park?

I missed the other red line under all my coloured in bird.

South FERRY is most likely the ship you are meant to start on. Heading away from the nest takes you north. Not sure if you are meant to follow the subway though.

But we then have the Tutty segment, which must have a use.

CLUE:Hit by lightning
?? rector/reactor??

CLUE:I have not gone back to hell.
Dont take the Red line as far as Hells Kitchen.

CLUE:Not happy
???

CLUE:Enters a bedroom.
CHAMBERS st?

CLUE:Picture of Tutty
With tuttys peg legs he is a clock face, in a square frame. TIME SQUARE.

CLUE:Crying
Says not a clue.

CLUE:with us the whole...
??? TIME again. or HOLE
They are still on the orange, maybe it where the orange and red lines cross near 53/broadway.

one other thing . . .

I just wanted to add another clue from episode 2 that I don't think anyone has mentioned (in case it's useful to count the clues, identify what is or is not a clue, or to track what Mulligan says that is useful):

Mulligan: Oh, I'm so scared Captain. I think I gotta pee.

Between Greyshot Arch and the Maine monument there is a public rest room in the park.

(Also, I believe that the preceding arch is Pine Bank Arch, not Pine Ball, although the Captain's pining may still refer to it.)

one other thing...
P & C go together

Very good. What does Crothers say at the end of episode 5?
P & C
These are pirates. Pirates are rude and crude.
Some sort of bathroom in a park.

Lines=Characters
The lines represent characters or objects

A=Crows Nest
B=Bird
C=Crothers
D=
F=Nigel/Gibson
Red=Ghost Jack/Ghost Crothers

Whenever Crothers loses something, its because another line has CUT him.
During the larry king interview. Captain heads LEFT along the L line to burn the BLUE hat. This finally explains to me when he went the wrong way to meet crothers.
In the poker tournament the captain(he is an orange or yellow line.which???) cuts through him, cutting his hand.
The Gorilla(is he the J or Z??) cuts through him after chinatown. severing his leg.(Gorilla is vertical, crothers horizontal)
He loses his life when the red line cuts through him at the end of episode 7, after 103, next to central park.

Nigel/Gibson are met in both Central park, and when they are at coney island.

Whenever Mulligan sees the BLUE A Line he talks/thinks about the Crows nest. At columbus circle end of episode 2. Crossing the east river returning to manhattan episode 6, he is thinking about it when travelling beside it, yet he is put on the orange line instead of the captain blue A.

The seance combines the electricity from the crows nest (A), The ghost line (RED) and the bird (B) line. These lines all meet precisely where he got killed. This is why he has merged into a bird. Now look at the subway map again.if this point is his chest, then color in the orange lines that split in the bronx, and make his ORANGE FEATHER. The top left the blue line veers left, making his BLUE HAT, He is wearing a shirt with 2 RED lines running horizontal(the RED 2 & 3 lines), and he is standing vertical as a BLUE/GOLD bird(The C/B lines,CROTHERS/BIRD lines)

Now we have our second BIRD drawn on the map.

So should we be looking for a third bird? Tutty, dreessed with 3 red lines crossing his shirt, and all yellow vertical??

nb.i said the first was a swan, it was probably a GOOSE. Wild goose chase.

Crothers final clue, was from the SHIP, a BIRDIE. Now IM a BIRDIE.
South ferry is the ship, the goose drawn in eps 3,5,6,4 is the first BIRDIE he exclaims about, then he talks about himself as a birdie, this is the 2nd drawn bird on the map that looks like him.

So the captain is travelling north from the SOUTH FERRY stop. Holding a torch, like STATUE OF LIBERTY(battery park) heads to his bedroom(CHAMBERS st). Through the goose bird, then through the Crothers bird.

But then what? wheres tutty? is he a subway line? which one?

Parks & Neighborhoods The Treasure Is Not In
Unless you want to get killed or arrested.

I was bred, born and raised in one of the 5 so I could tell you right now the chest is not in the following:

Da Bronx - Pretty much the entire Bronx maybe except the very top.

Manhattan - Rule out most of it because you will be attacked by a swat team for being a suspected terrorist.

Queens - Possibly, so many parks. Neighborhoods it would not be in because the puppeteers would have been killed just going there: Jamaica, Hollis, Rockaways and a few others.

Brooklyn - Possibly again so many parks. Neighborhoods it is not in: Bedsty, East New York, and a few others.

Staten Island - Lots of really nice big parks. (lived here for a real short time). This was home to the worlds largest dump. So the new park would certainly be setting off any metal detector. Only one bad area.
