"Stripes" reference. Funny.

But that's not what I meant. It wasn't a "challenge"....

What I meant was if you met me, you would see that I am fairly honest.

I am not the type to threaten via the intranets.

I can almost guarantee it.

I'm with you. I figured out the episode six park, but unless you think the gold is in East Williamsburgish area (the park is NOT in WB), my efforts to make sense of this information has not been very fruitful.

re Spaniards airport carousel

guess22, I wish you the best of luck in digging holes for yourself.

In the end there was a merry chase at the airport with the planes, a luggage carousel, and children and stolen luggage. Some greedy, thoughtless type stole the luggage that he thought held the gold. The woman who had the gold all her life thought she was a leprechaun and suffered for it -- she was always having to look over her shoulder lest someone be after her gold. She explained to Maddie Hayes and Bruce Willis (our favorite naughty Santa btw) that the real truth she discovered was the happiness that came from discovering what was important.

Did you see the captains latest pirate tip?
"#PirateTip 41- Airplanes: Screamin' kiddies, checkin' yer pistols, n' crammed 'tween fatskies. 'Tis worth it if ye steal all their luggage."

Port of Cortland revisited

At the risk of making everyone roll their eyes, I just wanted to check whether there was ever a consensus about the location of the the Port of Cortland. I know Dekalb Avenue was mentioned.

Did a little site visiting over the weekend and came across a neighborhood in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn. There is a whole section where every street is named ____ Ct. Abbey Ct., Beacon Ct., Canton Ct., etc. Could this be CourtLand? Nearby is Marine Park which has the snake and turtle playground.
Thoughts?

DeKalb

Yes, DeKalb was mentioned, but thus far not proven forward.

Your COURT street area is of interest, of course, but to what subway station are you referring?

I don't know if any of the stations in that area would meet the "five docks/one port" thang.... but then again, I haven't looked yet.

6:00?

I'm fairly sure I know what George and his crew were up to.

I'm curious if their mission was fruitful for anything, if not the treasure itself.

My feeling is this.... they found out where the puppeteers live, or hang out.... be it a bar or what have you... and decided to stake-out and watch to see if they would check the location.... especially if someone had made a claim to have found it.

Since there was no report last night... and George was logged in for a short time around 8:00pm, I'm assuming they were unsuccessful.

CapSlim: I usually won't bother to answer nonsense... I just laugh at it, or speak when the treasure is in someones hands.... however...You ASSUME wayyy too much, and you are wrong on ALL accounts.
I am not sure where you get your bizarre information from, or what makes you come to the conclusions you come to.
1. Just because you think "you have a lead" and you "figured out" things... who is to say your info is RIGHT...or who is to say that someone else may be on the same trail.
2. You completely tried to guess the spot where others are "looking", yet you are not even CLOSE!!
3. Why would someone stake out a bar (or even know what bar these guys hang out in)?? Was that YOUR plan?
4. If you are going to ASSUME things...do not be dumb enough to contradict your statements... in one breathe you know where "Kaplan and his crew were looking, as you claimed it was some random spot"...then in the next breathe "Kaplans crew was hanigng out at a bar".

You look like someone who is very paranoid that someone is AHEAD of you on the path.... or better yet..WAY ahead of you on the path. I'll concern myself with you, when you even get into the right borrough.

Last but not least... have fun assuming that the search was "unsuccessful" ... lololol Sometimes mother nature plays a part of outdoor activites...and its safe to hold off for a brighter day...

The initial claim was made by commonsense of gift notoriety, or someone pretending to be this individual. (He took the moniker CommenSense2 as he was trying to join.- You indicated that said gifts were "physical locations in the videos", though the initial claims seemed to imply more.

Interesting statement by a fan on FB too "It's nice how the mailbox with the Question Mark was painted over in the last few months! It's just down on the left from where the monster is. My family has been at that specific point all weekend searching everywhere. I think this is a hoax because they would have found it if it were truly there. They will be searching a little more this morning before having to return back to Ohio...."

I admire your restraint in this case. I would not leave much to chance once I figured out the location by waiting. Especially since I was outside at 5pm yesterday and the weather was not bad. George Kaplan dropped a statement about Prall's island a few days ago. Misdirection? A clue to his thinking? Just keeping all avenues of deduction open.

If the subdivision with all the Courts is Cortland, then there does not have to be a subway station fitting the clue. It is actually the Port of Courtland itself. There are a lot more than 5 docks there though.

olinao, your modest post, which even includes a new idea, is far, far, far from being one of the many recent posts that are worthy of eye rolls. Thank you. I wish others could establish a happy medium between free-association and leaving in a huff. It would be great if everyone would post their ideas, but with a just little bit of self-filtering and organization to make them useful, or at least intelligible. Entire pages of Wikipedia with randomly distributed and unmarked commentary do not meet this criterion. Taunts, snarkiness, and claims without information also fail.
