It is possible to find some famous people with one of the first names the commentator in Episode 5 is called and the last name of one of the streets near the snake/turtle. Of course, since there are a large number of famous people, and quite a few streets, and several first names, this would not be very good unless nearly all of the streets and names matched up, preferably in order.

I'm thinking that this could also be a reference to the subway station on yellow line at 23rd, possibly also the location where Crothers loses his hat.

You know... many a subway station enables you to WALK IN at one street, and the WALK OUT at another.

Is there ANY chance here... and I mean a LONG SHOT, that we enter the subway at Columbus Circle, and simply WALK OUT at another exit?

I suppose its possible, but then what? Would really shrink the map. (Belvedere Castle -j/k). I also can't get the Fafa "We're on the Right Track" out of my head...

just a throw away

I'm just uncrumpling ideas I had crumpled and thrown near the basket that didn't quite go in.... but I suppose it's not feasible.

So.. what remains is that we def get on a subway at Columbus Circle.

How hard is it to trace the lines that leave there and figure out which "port" we should go to, really? Is it really as easy as A, B, C?

Thanks Cap'n

I looked at your links and noticed something of interest on the first line. When you scroll down to the bottom, you see that certain subway stops are transfers to the bus lines, Q22 etc.

If we leave Columbus Circle, is there a line that takes us to Q6? Q6 being the cards at the end of episode 5. Could this be where we get off the subway?

Q6

The Q6 runs between JFK and Jamaica.... mostly along Sutphin Avenue.

how did you get this pic georgekaplan?

bullshit. no one should waste their time anymore with this.

how do you know THEY don't throw the parties? how do you know where their band plays? how do you know without any real clues where the treasure is? you show up out of the blue and have exact info? complete bullshit.

you wasted everyones time. the whole thing was a scam. just like that link that capnslim posted where the guy apparently "makes videos for a living" but he can't afford a new computer and begs for quarters he is now begging for attention.

go get your friends money and give it back to him.

In defense of the puppeteers.... Don't you think that if this was a scam, and GK and CAPN were "friends of Puppeteers" ...they wouldn't be dumb enough to post personal pics up to expose their "scam"?? lol
Use a little "common sense" here.

It may be a scam in the end... nobody knows right now ... but you can't base your assumption because some people were resourceful enough to use the internet to dig a bit deeper.

Dude...

...we BOTH did that. And you jumped all over me for "accusing" you of using a "back-door tactic"...

But did you read my entire post??? I said I would not be above it either!!! In truth, if that's what you were doing? I thought it was actually quite brilliant!

Picture it. Make a claim that you are going to get it at 6pm. Go to the bar. Drink. Hang out. Watch them from afar. Notice if they get nervous about the time approaching and then follow them to see what they do. If you could pull it off? It's a VERY pirate way of winning this game.

Kobayashi Maru.

There was no need to jump all over me. You completely missed the inflection in my post. It's quite common for communication via text/email etc.

CAPN: Actually go back and READ what I wrote before reacting. lol
"gameover" accused the hunt to be a scam and accused You and George Kaplan as being the puppeteers friends, andhaving pics, and being in on the "scam". I was defending YOU and GK, and the puppeteers saying that you and GK obviously wouldnt be dumb enough to post pics, if you REALLY were part of some scam with the puppeteers. thats why I gave you both credit by saying "you were resourceful enough to use the internet to dig a bit deeper.".

That's funny.

I thought "gameover" was on my side (and no offense, but I don't need that kind of help, gameover).

I just want to put an end to the bickering on here, and I am saying it publicly. We come here to solve this, then we should do it together until we either get there together, or sprint for the finish line and fight then.

Not to point out the obvious, but is it safe to say you guys are still lost? Or are your claims still valid and you are just waiting for some crazy, unknown, "let's see if others catch up to us and dig it up then" reasoning? Which, by the way, is absolutely nuts. Just go get it, man!

There are others playing who are not on this or any forum, you know Wink

Actually... although my partner would probably rather I didn't say anything at all...I'll tell you the whole story (without giving any hint on the location). Honestly... if it was $100,000 then it's a different story. But $10,000 split .... I refused to miss the end of the Jets game. Jets game ended after 4pm .... I do not live in NYC ...so by the time I met up with GK and got down to our spot, it was getting dark quickly. Once at the spot, a few clues needed to be "lined up" for the precise spot. At this point after evaluating the location ...it got too dark to really do what we had to do. I work everyday, have a kid, and have no time to run back to the spot, until hopefully this weekend (which also might be tough). I have not seen ANYONE mention the spot, or even anywhere NEAR it. you are correct...someone not on the forum might have it ...or more possibly, someone lurking. To be realistic, I think there is no more than maybe 100 people even playing this hunt anymore.
Everything GK said was true about our trip to the spot... including being obviously watched as we surveyed the area. Realistically, I do not like to travel to places unless I am positive. I do not like to randomly drive to a spot on just a "hunch' ..unless im about 95% sure I have the spot. I would be absolutely SHOCKED if our location is not the spot .... but once you get to a location..there is always the precise SPOT at that lcoation.

Latin

Does anyone know what the latin is in the final episode which is said when the bird turns its head around? It sounds like (and I do not know latin but I have been searching google) like Senectus Monachus? I don't think Monauchus is right. Senectus means old. Monachus means monk but I think it sounds like Mollachus or something like that. Can someone check?

That is all. Thank you.
