Head/Hat
Damn it that was it!!!!!

Head - head of the bed, head of the table
Head - company that manufactures sports gear.

Hat - head covering, protection against the elements.

I now know exactly where the chest is. Damn it!

I do have to say I have probably taken a totally different path on here then everyone else. I started looking at a huge map of NYC. To me Cape Shakespeare & Columbus Rock did not seem like statues but a play on words to areas in New York, hence the Great Kills and Nassau.

I think this is the only clue of yours that I got, though. LOL! It just hit me! LOL! Maybe because I was there.

We'll let's see if someone gets to it in the next 24 to 48 hours.
Like I said if it is not in that area then seriously I really have no clue. I am lost.

I think boat-speak is quite appropriate when discussing pirates. I'll draw the line at that one since we are talking about puppet pirates.

Make sure you find areas that match up to the Captain's cabin and Tutty's picture.

I am in NY and have recently found myself with some extra time. If anyone is interested in collaborating. However, I will say from the outset that barring compelling evidence that the gold is buried, I do not plan on digging any area because I don't believe it is buried.
