waiting until dark...

Concerning the waiting until dark.....
maybe it is meaning this....... idk i just found it....I googled Battle of Brooklyn that someone mentioned to me and it was the third one down.....

First real battle between British and American forces, in August 1776. Also called the Battle of Long Island. Redcoats under Generals William Howe and Charles Cornwallis advanced on New York and tried to trap the Americans in Brooklyn. General George Washington responded by holding his ground until nightfall and then retreating under cover of darkness. The troop movements for this battle actually occurred over a number of days. It was the first British victory and the first of many legendary Washingtonian escapes.

Here was the site:

Another intesting tidbit here is Clark Street Park (Fort Stirling) and another Columbia reference.... this time it is Columbia Heights.

seem like a promising lead, i was looking into it and found a few things like hotel St George, could be referring to the clue mount rushmore, and during the video the of mount rushmore has the number 3 underneath it. the 2 and 3 lines pass through clark street. not sure if it has anything to do with it.

It's enough to make you reach for a corona which btw means crown in Spanish.

4. something resembling a corona or halo
5. (Fine Arts & Visual Arts / Architecture) a circular chandelier suspended from the roof of a church
6. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Botany) Botany
a. the trumpet-shaped part of the corolla of daffodils and similar plants; the crown
b. a crown of leafy outgrowths from inside the petals of some flowers
7. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Anatomy) Anatomy a crownlike structure, such as the top of the head
8. (Life Sciences & Allied Applications / Zoology) Zoology the head or upper surface of an animal, such as the body of an echinoid or the disc and arms of a crinoid

When Black Tom says "Ichi. Ni. Son. Chi. Doooooo!" does any one know what something that sounds like Doo means in japanese?

If we begin at Chess & Checkers house this week and then use Tom's clue with the lampost numbers from last week we aren't traveling south /southwest. To get to the lamposts in the correct order we would have to leave C&C and head north first and then northwest, west, south and then west again. And if it's not talking about the specific direction of turns we take merchant gate is more west of C&C than south...Any thoughts on this?

Also why would they send us the long way around the ball fields to get down to merchants gate?

I believe 'do' is just used as a counter. he's countering the sun's blow. It's like saying "Hi-Yah!"

At least that's what I'm going with...

Yeah, you're probably right. I just wanted to make sure. Any thoughts on "Hai"? I know he says it when the others say "aye" so that's probably what it means but I was reading that "Hai" can mean octopus (among other things) and thought that it was interesting.

Although that it interesting, when Tom says 'Hai' he is just answering in the affirmative (aka saying 'yes') which is the same thing as 'aye' for a pirate.

OK, so I did some google mapping, and if this is our Silver Coast of Africa and not, or in addition to the globe at Trump International Hotel, to view the African coast, you would see the Queens Museum of Art behind the globe, and at your back would be the Astronaut Court. To your right is the Avenue of the Americas, and to your left, the Avenue of Africa.

Is that to make a vest? What would vest have to do with this?

Sleeves is also a term used in sports uniforms. Any baseball teams that use red sleeves or used to use red sleeves?

Hai means yes in Japanese.

According to this Glossary of Kendo Terminology, "Ichi Ni San Shi" is a chant that is used by Kendo practitioners, which seems apt given Black Tom's background and the fact that he was using what looked like a Japanese sword during the sequence.

Dooooo was just my phonetic interpretation of what Black Tom was saying. I don't believe it was intended to be a word with meaning.

From my own observation as well as the observations made by previous posters in this thread, it appears that the puppetmasters are not really familiar with the Japanese language.

Thanks for that link, fellowtravler Smile
Are you still keeping a map? I added what I thought were the clues for episode 2 on my google map http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=116942545679104253802.00048cebf7b6653bd39a5&ll=40.769004,-73.975132&spn=0.009491,0.016458&z=16

Not sure if this is the best route....I'm wondering why the long route out around the ballfields???

Yes, I plan to make a new map as well (actually I may make several because some maps highlight different things), but I have been busy with work. Hopefully I will have time later today.

For what it is worth, I think that the red route in your map is probably close to the "correct" path.
