Since they went out of their way to reference Mel Gibson in the Mario picture, could there be any connection to this picture:

It is from a movie the Mel was filming in Rockafeller plaza in 2009 called The Beaver (but has since been suspended)......

hmm... groundhog or beaver? Maybe Fafa "the Groundhog" had his...uhm...tail altered?

"Alan... Alan... Alan... Alan... Alan... Alan..."

Gee, Mel Gibson with his hand up a Beaver...? Who knew?

( Embarassed sorry...should I edit that out?)

Well.... MANY lines were just recently suspended or cut... and I don't think the Puppetmasters would have had any previous knowledge of this, so we'll have to give them a Mulligan on that (pun intended).

So far, to me, also? The NINJA STAR looks more like a COMPASS STAR to me, rather than an "X marks the spot" thing.

I know the city and subway system well.... and I know Queens rather well, too. Flushing Meadow Park is looking more and more like an option, but SO is Met-Willets Point / Citifield! The Mets wear BLUE HATS and have an ORANGE EMBLEM on them.

Looks like were headed to Queens, people.

I thought you'd be heading to the beach on Staten Island! lol

Corona Park
Flushing Meadow Park

although I do not know the area and have never been, note that Flushing Meadow Corona Park, and in addition to having the unisphere, Corona would fit nicely with the exploding sun.

Mario's Morse

Just wondering if TVVA means anything to anyone?
Could it be Mario is morsing when he describes where to find him in the trailer?

Anybody else talk about this yet?

When you first pull up the website there is the map with the octopus etc. And on that map is illegible writing in a few spots... I've tried to clarify the image but am not very good with thing like this. Anybody who knows how to do something like that feel like giving it a shot?

enlargement
illegible

I'll view it at 100x, 200x and 400x using the kid toy biocam but I'm doubtful it says anything.

Hardy Boys
I think that's a great possible clue

I once told a Hardy Boy expert that perhaps my love of treasure hunts stemmed from the Hardy Boys because they were always looking for treasure. He said that it was only on a rare occasion that they were looking for gold. So I think your discovery may be important. But are there any other titles that involve the search for lost gold?

Hardy Boys

There are many, yet HIDDEN GOLD is the first to come up in a google search, and that train reference is glaring.

what are the editions that involve the search for hidden gold?

Here is the cover of the one you mention. You see them digging.
