Ok, so.....

The two hearts at the top of the screen have the codes 'Gt gp' and 'St xd'.

The two daggers have the codes 'rxe' and 'kt'.

Interspersing the diagonals gives

'Revera Decipio' in rot11

which means 'A true thing deceives' or 'reality misleads' or words to that effect (Latin: 're vera decipio')

re vera: in truth, in fact, in reality
decipio: catch, ensnare, entrap, deceive, mislead, beguile, elude, cheat.

Just noticed that the computer screen in the middle says:

'theoroderofoborot.com/XVXVXVXV.php'

And yes you did read that correctly...it says 'oroder' not 'order'.

Also, am I correct in thinking that Vlad, Genia and Ben are all dead?

Aspen's poem is, as Dagada said, called 'The Heart of the Tree', so not yet sure where 'Sterling' fits in. Sterling Silver?

I suspect Sterling relates to Sterling silver - a reference to the heart we left atop the wolf's head beneath the tree. Possibly Aspen is giving a suggestion that not everything was as dark as we thought that night?

EDIT: The PM changed the link in the computer screen from 'oroder' to 'www.theorderofoborot.com/XVXVXVXV.php'. Was obviously a typo.

Still can't get it to do anything though. I've tried:

Right at the bottom of the screen there a line of text on white...just beneath the bottom of the black square....can't make out what it says though.

The countdown still takes us to Tuesday, 21 December 2010, 05:27:42, same as it was on the old .../darkness.php page.

Think that might be one hour out due to clocks changing (but I'm always confused by clocks changing so no idea if it's 5.27 or 7.27). Either way sunrise on that day isn't until 8.04.

Also, I'm wondering if the 'signal weak' and 'affirmative' messages are a form of code.

Radio signals use:

10-1 as signal weak
10-4 as affirmative
10-9 as repeat

etc.

There are 98 10-x codes in total - almost 10 squared.

Thought these might be decimal ASCII codes, but they translate as:

In other words, seemingly meaningless.

I'm certain your numbers are right, except maybe CV grows once more = 106 (CV+1)?
