Apologies for double post. I made a mistake in the above post. The first post was Ben's post after Dagada and I chatted to o weeks ago. The second post above was from last night. HarM posted first at 11.06pm identifying that Stuart used the word Oborot. Then Stuart called me at 11.14pm. HarM's 'runereader taken' message was at 11.42, the same time as Stuart went offline.

Harold is new on the scene, but he is working from the same book as Jayden. Oborot evidently has people everywhere.
So what we going to do about it?
Genia - alive, missing, gone in the head.
Stu - alive? Missing, lucid
Vlad - dead? missing, powerful
Ben - may still have echoes of previous life but Jayden has more force of will than him I suspect
Chloe - Missing, still working for Ob?
Claire - Alive, worried, may be interesting to Ob but may not have powers from previous games

Are we missing a puzzle here?

Harold's first message was at 7.06pm saying he'd picked up Stuart's use of the word Oborot at 7.05pm. Next, at 7.20pm Harold joins the conversation.

Next, Harold posts on Oborot forum at 11.36pm saying that Stuart's been taken. At 0:42, Stuart reports that a car passes his house for the third time and goes to investigate. Harold's last post is at the exact same time.

Question: Why did Harold say one hour before Stuart disappeared that the rune reader had been taken.

Either:

a) The timings on the chat logs are out of sync. The first chat log is definitely in sync with Harold's first post. Why would the subsequent logs display the wrong time?

b) Harold lied on the Oborot forum in saying that Stuart had been taken one hour before he actually had.

c) It wasn't Stuart in the post-midnight chat log. Unlikely, given the vitriolic abuse of Oborot and general content of his conversation.

Either way, somebody was within at most a 5 hour journey of Brecon to get to him by midnight (the third pass of the car was at 00:42) after picking up his first use of Oborot at 7.06pm.

There's something here...not sure what yet but something is waiting to be uncovered.

I also note my last post on the IRc was at 1.11, a time when Vlad used to post in the first game. Consilience for the win.

Crikey...I think my brain just melted.

I'm trying to piece the timings together with Harold's Oborot posts because there's something to find in it all, I'm certain.

I hate numbers - give me words anyday!

So...in BST times:

11.15: Stuart rings me
00.05: Stuart mentions Oborot in a chatroom
00.06: Harold posts on Oborot forum
00.20: Harold joins the chat
00.42: Stuart notices car for 3rd time and goes to investigate.
00.42: Harold's last entry in chat
00.42: Harold posts in Oborot that Stuart is taken
00.54: Harold issues a threat then leaves chat.

So, between Harold noticing Stuart's use of Oborot and Stuart being taken there was only 37 minutes, and by then the car had already passed Stuart's house twice.

Somebody had to already be in Brecon to pick him up so quickly.

I also noticed that Stuart said Genia had disappeared between his first visit (when she was lying in a trance) and his second (when all the furniture and everything had gone too).

Could it be that Genia has been 'programmed' and comes out of her trance when summoned? Chloe was known to have been capable of hypnotherapy, as Stuart mentioned in regards to Vlad.

Odd also that the weird readings and dreams experienced by Stuart and Genia stopped when Vlad arrived - evidence of his power perhaps (whatever that might be).

And Harold's ip address was in Canada? Like Ben's was when he crashed mine and Dagada's chat with Orpheus.
