Oh, and BTW, I was right about the red hat being a clue Wink

I thought the same thing at first, but the problem is the monkey's tail. In our new print out pic the monkey's tail is not directly adjacent to the ribbon, but on the CL pic it is directly adjacent to the ribbon. Basically the monkey is not mirrored.

Pill box hat in the STIES photo compared to craigslist post

Mr. Toasty.

I posted, in part at 3 pm today:

"did you notice that the position of the monkey, in relation to the hanging parts of the bow, are not the same. "

Any significance why Josh might have moved the monkey pin/brooch from one photo to the other side? On the craigslist photo I agree with what I believe someone said about even noticing what looks like a thumb imprint.

It looks to me in one of the craigslist photos that the word "April" from the memorial invitation is bleeding through the piece of paper placed over it.

Any relevance to April 16 that you can find?

I googled and came up with these "possible" links:
1956 David M. Brown, Arlington, Virginia, Comander USN/astronaut born. (He died in 2003, I believe)

1981 Columbia space shuttle returns

1972 Apollo 16 launched; 5th manned lunar landing (Decartes Highlands)

1965 Test flight of heavy Saturn S-1C-rocket

1946 1st U.S. launch of captured V-2 rocket, White Sands, NM; 8 km alt

Any connection with the time indicated on the clock?

Size 8 dress is too obvious, probably!?!

 I have a question

(raises hand)

Is it typical that in an ARG we are fed pertinent info by a guest(333), that no one in there right mind would ever look for or find? really? This is how we get our next clues? wtf...why not the 8 tone signal or anything from the poppeateers maze mail in???

Sad

So I have to say, if this CL posting leading to this other site all pans out (skepticism is my friend, and despite what Nighthawk may say, I am the biggest one here), then the reference to posting seems to be a bit of a keyword. "Stop posting publicly", "REPOST", and posts on UFO sites.

As for our guest breaking a new clue for us - I can assure you that the post was not done from any movie studio. If the PMs were so bold as to nudge us along here (and JJ doesn't concern himself too much with 'rules'), in this case they made an effort to post from somewhere very much away from the usual moviemaking centers.

ARG creators need no direct physical proximity with studios or filmmakers, they can be anywhere since distribution only requires the internet. And if those puppeteers are nowhere near a studio, neither would a game-nudging guest forum member have to be. Just saying...

Based on the way Cloverfield was done, and some other JJ Abrams related virals were executed, I don't think any known ARG producer is involved. As I said, if they did this, they went out of their way to post from a non-commercial source very far from known major production locations for films - or for ARGs for that matter.

While remaining dubious regarding the whole hooklineandminkier find, it is a very short period of time to find the hat and set it up-What's the time frame in relation to the pictures appearing on scariestthing??

Also worth mentioning are the pins in the background of craigslist are arranged to form the Cepheus constellation (or a house, maybe a rocket or a dropped icecream Laughing ) - Notable features of this constellation is that γ Cephei is orbited by a planet; and was the home of Dick et al., from 3rd Rock from the Sun...... Relevant-Probably not Wink

I was just reporting what I saw posted on the wiki since no one was talking about it yet, I didn't find anything unfortunately. But if you want to give me credit by all means do, it's been my dream since the start of the cloverfield arg to actually find and contribute something useful....

The Clock ...

My head just assploded!!

... Just finished reading all the new pages.

Not sure what to make of the Dress, the Sled, the Cookie Jar, or the ... ahem ... "Swan."

Tho, ... the cock is/was very popular:
It's a Roy Rogers' Trigger Clock.
(The time on the CL post is 11:36:24 ... Any info on that?)

[Edit Out Previous Info)

We've got a year to go, and already we've been pushed in more directions than any other viral so far!

I could be wrong, but isnt this the start of the ARG, or when the trailer was released.

Interesting note

@Rasgold, Thanks for reminding me of Roy Rogers and Trigger, that is exactly what the clock reminded me of. And once I made the Roy Rogers connection, one of Gordo Coopers famous quotes popped into my head.

"No Bucks, no Buck Rogers"

I am sure it has zero to do with the game, just a fun mind diversion.

Thanks for finding the clock.

I am sold here is is why. The attached picture has two circled reflections from the swan. The first is a window, that would be appropriately placed based on our configuration of the room and a box, which appears to have similar trim as the box with the "pen" underneath it. Based on this reflection we can tell that these were taken at the most recent print outs site, or "Josh"'s POI.

@Rasgold, Great Idea but the horse clock is different Horse, Saddle, & Clock. I do not think it is trigger also keeps ringing the Craig list post says Clock works also says Removable Saddle on horse - Why the saddle item and does the 11:36 on the clock mean anything -

WV Zip Code

I was the one who found the Craigslist Pillbox Hat. I noticed on the image with the pillbox hat, if you reverse the image and look above the yellow post-it note that says sold, there is a five digit number "25801." That is the zip code for Beckley, WV. West Virgina is where these estate listing are being posted so they are obviously connected.
