I'm 100% sure these are out of game. Just check the WHOIS for both of them:
http://whois.domaintools.com/pragma.jp
http://whois.domaintools.com/pragma.org

Both of them completely different from the other known in-game domains. Both also registered WAY before the start of the game.

THanX! ...

I forgot totally about whois!

EDIT

But, I'm still wondering when (and if) the "description" was changed to "pragma" on the STIES site.

I do too, just not sure if it's the pic or the inventory list. The items listed look to me like:

Cream Flower Dress
White Swan
Red Sled

But like Slinkydge said:
Quote:
but it's not a white swan, it's blue.

It didn't even hit me until he pointed it out. Do my eyes only see the words as White Swan, Red Sled, etc because thats what my brain is telling it to see? Or is that what it really says and is intentionally there to point us in another direction? Why list White Swan when it's clearly Blue? And why is WHITE the only word in all caps?

Well, if the list does say "WHITE" swan, and I think it does, then here is your white swan. Blues invert to near white. Doing this to the images does make it easier to make out the writing. Not that I think its really necessary info for the game, though. Especially after wasting some time trying to make ABC or 123 appear by over lapping the images and so on. No go on that idea.

STIES ... Is: TheScariestThingIEverSaw
http://www.scariestthingieversaw.com/

I called the number and only get a message in Japanese.

Waiting for a response from my translator friend.

I'm still wondering why "description" changed to "pragma" on the STIES site!

I just decided to actually investigate this to see what you were talking about. I assume you're using Firefox, so you're looking at this:

I never looked at the page info for STIES before, but I'm assuming it used to list "description" instead of "pragma". Being a hobbyist web developer... let me attempt to explain what's going on.

What you're looking at is HTML "meta" data. This gives information to your browser about what's contained on the page and what to do with its contents. There used to be a "description" entry -- an entry that would briefly describe the contents of the page. This is often used by search engines. Ex, the little blurb from the page that Google shows might be the HTML meta description.

However, it seems that the webmaster of STIES has removed the meta description from the page. Why? Who knows. Probably because they realized that we already figured out what the site was, so it doesn't need a description anymore. It's also quite possible that it was just a mistake.

Now, we see the HTML meta data "pragma" which contains "no-cache". This simply tells your browser that it shouldn't store the page locally. In other words, it's a page that could be updated often, so your browser should check if it's updated every time the page loads. This makes sense -- they're going to update the SWF we're seeing, so they need to make sure we have the latest one, or we'll never find anything.

I hope that makes sense to everyone. I guarantee you this is no sort of clue or anything. It's simply a webmaster shifting some code around to make a page work differently.

Headman, I noticed your comments referring to the list before being items Josh is selling. Seems like you also mentioned in an earlier post the numbers following the items.

The cursive is not clear enough for me to say one way or the other what words are there--I can see how you'd think they say as you've noted, but how do the number tie in.

And I don't know if you caught my earlier post re: the major differences with the clock posting on craigslist or not, but they seem just as, if not more so, than the all capitalized word, thought to be WHITE.

What say you?

The webmaster did just that on May 7th when STIES was still in countdown mode. Although I think the update included other methods of keeping users in sync with the STIES server, this change to the meta data may have been a part of that same update.

I find the time on the clock and the note on the cork board too odd to be in the pictures and it not mean anything. It's just subtle enough to be a hidden clue with all the attention on the items for sale as a distraction. I must admit that if the writing on the note paper or time on the clock isn't a clue then they sure missed an opportunity. With that said the photo's did in a way lead us to Josh Minker and HookLineAndMinker.com so they may have fulfilled their purpose. Maybe they were the distractions? Then again maybe not. I know I will continue to look over them while we are awaiting for something new to come up. Here are some close-ups if anyone else has any ideas.

I'd like to point out that the numbers next to the words on the white note clearly are a circled 5, 6, and 7. However, it would seem that we only have links to 6 CL postings. There might be another posting we haven't found yet? Or maybe the missing item is the "damned thing"? Thoughts?

Ofcourse! its a 5! ive been seeing an uncircled 6! but if you look at it as if someone has tried to circle it,its a 5.
Could it be:
Green flower/floral dress-5
WHITE swan (I know its not white)-6
Red sled-7

So we have green-5,WHITE-6,red-7

I have no idea what this means......anyone ?
