anyone else think the costumes are not from the right era? I am young so i wouldn't know but doesn't look like 60's-70s style..

then again neither is the truck probably

Yeah, you do have to factor in the Comic-Con booth babe factor to con marketing and costume design. Very Happy

Well, I'm not american and not that old either but I'd point those nurses outfits to the 50s-60s. Would fit with everything Rocket-poppeteeric we have had so far, though.
To me the most important question seems "why nurses?" and is the guy supposed to be a Doc then?
Yes I dont think they were nurses in my opinion.Like just stated in post above me they were set up in the style of the era of that time but a bit sluttier to get attention I believe.

To me, they look much more like the starched white diner/soda fountain service uniforms (loosely akin to those seen in Johnny Rockets venues). Obviously stylized for CC marketing intent, but it's that food service/frozen treat vintage look in design, though clearly not in function.

OK, I see. They just reminded me a lot of the nurses in "One flew over the cuckoo's nest"

It wouldn't surprise me if existing costumes/patterns were used and redesigned for this use just to save time and money while getting the effect across.

Nurse uniforms for the RP truck babes

If you check out older movies/tv series, it's not uncommon to see the "soda jerks" attired in clean white uniforms with a cap/hat, but you'd never see at your local "malt shop" a pretty young thing with here belly showing! (There definitely would be pickets and visits by the local canstables.)

The slogan "Real Spacemen Love Rocket Poppeteers" is quite accurate, 50s and 60s wise. It's not politically correct, whereas the recruitment for "astronauts" is.

Just makes me feel, as others have opined, that that phrase may be a key/code for things already presented, or to be revealed at some point.
