Search your feelings young Padawan. Sorry, been watching Star Wars the last few days. If it doesn't feel right then it's probably not. Binary is cool and looks impressive but is very easy to do. If you do a quick search of the web you will find many binary translators. Just type in what you want to say in binary code and it converts it to binary. If you want to make it a little more difficult then change the 1's and 0's to x's and o's or y n or l -. Like I said, it's impressive but quick and easy. Actually it's fun to leave your significant other notes or your kids messages in binary and see if they can decipher it. It is just too convenient to be on the JM Facebook page. It's funny he told someone his email was conveniently full so he created another. If he's all of a sudden talking then why hasn't he replied to the emails about the Craigslist items or responded to the posts on Hooklineandminker.com? He is feeling the heat. And another thing, he just joined the Coelacanth and Exotic fish fan pages after it was brought up here in the forums that it was odd for someone to be so obsessed not to be a fan. The signs are all there. It's OOG/Gamejack. Probably some immature teenager/ignorant young adult still living with mommy and daddy or failing college student who gets off on screwing with people. I say just ignore it and it will hopefully go away.

i did the "anonymous" thing thing with it being openly known as a joke.. did you even read it? you should add a humor thread.
Just trying to livin up the board a little.. its been a slow news week, and i was stuck inside on the 4th of july. either way, i apologize if i got ya mad. The FB is a little too far though. whoever did that is like messing with the game. that newspaper article prank was clearly oog unless the thing in the train was Jazzy Jeff and he's PISSED! the facebook is GJ I believe.

I was so positive it's GJ, I've been posting comments (and I'm not the only one) on the FB page just to harass. Worth a laugh and a giggle. Wink

On the previous page tytyvirgo and I questioned why there was a live.com email address and not the yahoo.com address from HLM.com on the FB page. Within a few moments there was an updated post on FB explaining the different email address, almost like a direct response to our query.

That pretty much sealed it for me as GJ!

Sorry folks, but I have no idea how we could think this is IG. Think about the level of game maintenance on Cloverfield and Star Trek and compare it to this... They may have used myspace pages, but things weren't obvious on them. Work was involved.

For the record, I am confident that hlm.com is IG as well as the CL posts, but that the YouTube and Faceebook stuff is all very poorly conceived GJ.

I don't think that this is gamejack. Looks like a ot of hidden things were put in there. like the way he "forgets" to space. Just keep checking, because I have a hunch that this is IG.

im in agreement with all of you. theres obviously someone who really thinks that they're awesome and has decided to steal the game.

the things that really do it for me are
A. they are now using clues from something we previously decided to be GJ (A=B) to finish puzzles on they're new sites.
B. they're using the same email address given to us by HLM only hosted by a different site, which doesnt even make sense unless its GJ
and C. with the exception of things clearly added to make it apear IG, there are absolutely no connections to the game so far. rather than following a storyline it just arbitrarily throws out clues.

i guess all im saying is dont even bother looking at these pages.
also, i reaally hope i dont eat my words.

and tytyvirgo: Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy thats awesome lol

 still waiting

While i think the facebook page was poorly done, i'd like to hang in there until hlm.com is actually updated. That should give us enough clues to figure out the authenticity of the other sites.

P.S. To keep OOG and clear the way for hlm.com posts, maybe we should start posting all Facebook and Youtube items in the Trouted thread Josh Minker is on Facebook. It's always nice to be tidy!

The idea of tagging a thread a trout is to let it sink to the bottom of the forum.

Actually, no. We don't want to turn off new players or ambitious ones. We just want to make them take a moment to check their ideas before rushing to post. Enthusiasm is a good thing, when kept under reins.

Repeat offenders can however suffer the shame of a coelacanth.

So how do we make the coelacanth emoticon available for post usage?
