Well its curious to note that he says he will answer a few questions by the posters yet nobody asked him the questions he answered. If this were OOG he would be wondering who we are and why we are stalking him..
Dontcha think?

He mentions alot of internet friends..

Now that the site is active we might get more info sooner than later

Lol I'm starting to understand why they call these games ARGS, they're so frustrating that all you want to do is go "ARRRRGGGGGGGGGGG"!!!

You mean ARG ?

I think the addition of content is very much in the style of a viral, as we see no indication of any of his 'fish friends' being real, nor any out of character reactions to us. We do have the hint of 'other topics' he may cover.

I think the style of the site is meant to mimic that of really badly done GeoCities sites of days past. In fact, the 'new site' mention may imply that Josh was on the recently closed GeoCities and that would also explain the similarity of style.

This is like having a bunch of wires and no solder to connect them up with...

Josh answered back !

I got a reply:

Hi Martin!

Believe me, you're not the first person to remind me of that over the years!

Do you know that there have only been a handful of Coelacanth sightings in this century? They've mostly been around Indonesia and Africa, but they're spaced out enough (by 30 years in some cases) that scientists are now looking EVERYWHERE for the Coelacanth. In truth, we know so little about these creatures that we can't rule anything out. I prefer to stay as optimistic as I can!

Thank you so much for visiting the site!

J. Minker

Edit: The mail I sent :
To: hlm1963SPLATyahoo.com

Subject: coelacanth

HI Josh,

I'm from Canada and I know for sure that the coelacanth is not a species you will find in the oceans boarding the country.  They belongs in more warm water like you will find around Africa.

Good hunting for your elusive and rare fish!

Martin

Was that a reply to a comment or a reply to an email? Just curious.

Coelacanth in captivity

(OOG - but facts are interesting)

Might be something to talk to Josh about?

There is a Forrest A. Young
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dynasty Marine Associates , Inc.
http://www.dynastymarine.net

Gave a talk back in 2005
http://www.sfdi.com/December2005News.html

Quote:
Forrest Young is Director of Dynasty Marine located in Marathon,
Florida. Dynasty Marine is the largest (in terms of volume of sales) and
most comprehensive supply of public aquarium display animals in the
world. In addition to supplying animals for public display Dynasty
Marine also provides animals for all kinds of primary research. They
are currently part of an international team that is studying the
coelacanth for eventual public display. For this project over the
course of 10 years, Dynasty built their own in-house closed circuit
diving team and have run operations to 500' in the sea. Dynasty Marine
has been involved with numerous film and video projects and are well
known in their field around the world. Forrest will be giving a
presentation on his most recent expedition as well as showing a brief video.

I didn't personally but I remember seeing a lot of people post on the forum that they did. I think he might have picked yours personally since it was pretty neutral/in-character. Or maybe it was a random draw. Or who knows maybe more replies will come soon.

I have a feeling his inbox is about to become flooded, though. Wink
