Don't be mean to newcomers who haven't read the 9378374832 pages of discussion and post something that has already been discussed. You guys are no further now than when the clues first came out. You only will know what JJ wants you to know, which at this point is about nothing.

Playing nice includes not adding to the problem by titling your post with reference to an excremental body part. Also, posting as a guest after registering is considered less than perfect form, especially when you don't make it precisely clear what registered user you are if you must post as a guest. - E

I've been away for like a week and I come back to read 20 pages of crap, arguments, off topic nonsense, there are like 20 posts gone un-trouted!!

It makes it really hard to catch up and no-wonder newbies don't want to read all through these pages.

I hate to be the Stern Mistress but I can and will crack my whip!

Can we please all STOP NOW and get back on topic, stick to the rules and as I have been told either ignore the useless posts or trout them.

I've been without internet for a little while, is there any chance anyone could do a quick summary of this thread? (I got to like page 16 and got lost and confused... so sorry if this has already been done)

What I've kinda got so far is:

Ran by Josh Minker (Brother of Fred Minker)
He has a weird obsession with the Coelacanth which was a fish thought to be extinct until the 30's... his idol is Marjorie Courtenay-Latimer, the woman who discovered it alive.
His mother is Evelyn Minker who died recently
Evelyn's stuff is being sold via Craigs List (link to stuff found on ScariestthingIeversaw)
You can phone his "home" number and leave a message regaurding Evelyn's death.
Josh was born in 1963? Which would make him about 16 around the time of the film meaning him (and possibly his brother) could well be two of the kids who find the footage?

What am I missing??

Hey guys. First time poster here. Been following since the start of this arg and went a long with some of cloverfields so I kinda know this game. Nice job on all the finds btw!

Anyways, I was searching around the Internet and was just look at some planets (since I just love space) and looked at Jupiter (not sure if it was Jupiter or Saturn that the alien may have come from) and there was talk about it possibly being able to support life in the water. Now what if this alien is a water alien? Very possible and the sound we heard (bragaen) could be sonar sounds sent from the ship when it crashed or was just a signal back to it's home planet but we intercepted it. Now I believe that Josh found something in the water (another alien possibly?). I believe this movie will take place in present time but I have no clue (I know I'm possibly wrong) so it possible that we have a USO.

Can't wait for more clues and I have a feeling I'm going to maybe get a ground on some of this and I'm prepared. O and I didn't know where to post this so I decided here Razz Will post more if I find another break through. For the mean time we must party Very Happy (edit: all of what I typed did not get posted)

My guess is the Super 8 creature/monster/alien MUST get to water somehow.
Much like the "gill-man" from Creature From the Black Lagoon, our whateveritis can move about on land on a limited basis, then has to return to water for survival.

a.k.a. JAWS/GOJIRA hybrid? ... I'm not sure what other movie monster (other than "gill-man") HAS to seek water.

He has had (and still has) aStonefish in his fish slider thingie.

I've kinda always thought that a Super8 monster could be created by taking all the 'best' (deadly/unique) parts of each of thoes fish to create a Super killer/resistant human/creature/combo thing! Shocked

Now that would be scary! The ultimate surviving/killing/machine!!!

Yeah, I know the Stonefish was on the slider, but the error page wasn't in the cache.
I had a few moments before heading off to work to search some more, and just thought it odd the page would show up like it did.

All we can do right now is sort through the clues to find something - anything - to hold interest until the next update.
