This might be a VERY longshot at 112 but after doing a google search with simply "112 coelacanth" there was a wiki article about Latimeria which is:

"Latimeria is a genus comprising the only known living species of coelacanth."

In the Discoveries bracket I found what google picked up on:

(May 19) Indonesian fisherman Justinus Lahama caught a 1.31 meter (4.30 ft) long, 51 kilogram (112 lb) coelacanth off Sulawesi Island, near Bunaken National Marine Park, that survived for 17 hours in a quarantined pool.[5]

I did a google search for Justinus Lahama but hit a dead end. There was a site called Cryptumundo or something but a few glances and it seemed OOG.

I was wondering if this relates to the Fibonacci Code. Taking Josh's first sentence:

We Land In Wiaj (or Widd depending on "-")

Wiaj refers (among other things) to an old AM radio broadcasting station as of June 30, 1923: "WIAJ","Neenah","WI",1340,"Fox River Valley Radio Supply Co. (Quinn Brothers)"

Again this radiostation reference.

First thought that comes to mind is Day 112. As in, this is Day 112 of...

So counting back from Aug 21st, Day 1 would be May 2nd I think?

Your right, it could be economic climate. I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss it. May be how they are relating to us in the here and now. If he does work for a paper type company it could be a paper mill as they are affected by the climate. Considering he speaks of the "office" I would assume he doesn't work in the actual mill, rather the corporate office perhaps? Just another option to think about while we await something big.

First thing that struck my mind when I read the number 112 was that this is the emergency number in Germany.
I don't know if this has any significance.
