The only thing of interest, that I could find, is that lead and mercury poisoning can cause a metallic taste. It's probably irrelevant, but if he starts exhibiting symptoms while not dreaming, it could be related.

 		Blood tastes like metal too. Although I'd think he'd notice bleeding in his mouth, I thought I'd mention it.

 		I have been thru several sleep studys thru out my life due to severe insomnia.Some sleep meds cause a copper/metallic taste as a side effect.

 		I'm just starting to look at this one, but it looks like the first video is no longer available on youtube. It just runs an endless loading circle. Does anyone know if it's still viewable anywhere else?

 		I suddenly thought of something, when thinking of metallic tastes. An over exposure to Ozone can cause a metallic/blood like taste in the mouth. Don't ask me why but this made me think of time travel.

Perhaps it's the connection of Ozone and electrical storms, but I always kind of thought that if time travel could happen it would create ozone.

Sorry if this seems a bit vague or OT just thinking.

 		I think im gonna do the same, except I am gonna pose as a paranormal investigator/psychic. Maybe we can coax him into going upstairs or coax whatever is in the attic to become a bit more.. um.. mobile.

 		A metallic taste can also occur during a Computer Tomography after the contrast dye (containing iodine) is used.

When I watched the second tape, I was under the assumption that that sound was just some static or audio distortion. It doesn't really sound like a machine I've ever heard. The sound reminds me of when I was in the attic last week. I remember hearing something very faint while I was in there. I'm not sure if the camera picked it up or not.
