So wish we could figure out what happened to the 3rd tape. I have a feeling it is the key to everything.

 		And the plot thickens! Im actually really curious to see where this storyline is heading. I figure it can go in one of three main directions: ghosts (where the old man is haunting him), hostage (where the old man is keeping him hostage inside the house), or an even more interesting neurosurgeon line (where Matt is hallucinating from all the surgery in a Shutter Island type of way). Just my two cents. :]

 		I saw that post and had to wonder about it myself. it seems like a little too much information to find from a few frames of a video already filled with things to look at. But at the same time, if I grew up in an area and saw a building I knew in one of these ARG's I would probably announce it too.

Kinda curious if it is a new character however.

 		Huh whatever did I do, my posting seems to have been swallowed up...

Anyway. I agree on North Brother Island not being the location of the factory. I'm fairly sure it's somewhere in the area Matt lives in, next town over type distance.

I asked Matt (blog comment) whether he still uses the burglar alarm, and suggested to use his computer's webcam, if available, as a sort of sneaky way to record whether something's snooping around when he's not there.

 		I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but did anyone else notice the music playing in the background of the attic vid he shot? Sounds very faint, and rather old. Like something from a phonograph.

I fail with Audacity, and yoinking things from youtube, but I swear I heard music, and since I'm not playing any, and everyone else is asleep......just a thought.

Pretty sure someone posted that he's in western Mass. at some point.

I used to live in Boston, and it actually looks similar to some outbuildings at the abandoned "Met State" mental hospital in Waltham. I used to love exploring abandoned buildings and that place was creepy as hell. It was a good 7 years ago so I don't remember it super clearly and I'm probably wrong. But Mass. has a lot of abandoned asylums with unsettling histories, could be any of a number of places.

Apparently most of the buildings have since been demolished, but the one I'm thinking of was a good mile hike from the main campus and could still be there for all I know (I no longer live anywhere near the east coast).

Holy shit I think that might be the place.

Compare that to when it pans the room in Attic Tape 2.
It seems pretty damn similar, especially the metal supports around the ceiling.
The architecture and everything looks very similar to what is shown, and on the link above, it says the current status is "demolished" which might account for the broken smokestack in the video?
Idk. Possibly a dead end, but interesting, and maybe we're onto something.
