The problem with time travel is that it's way too sloppy/seemingly unrelated to so many other puzzles and background stories that are involved in this ARG. There was simply way too many loose threads leading off in opposite directions for us to decipher/conclude anything. In short, I am a very impatient and slightly aggravated kaitidid lol.

Well, we can pretty much discount one theory; that is the theory that Matt is just crazy. After all, the camera did record this dude.

Matt posted again stating that he doesn't know for sure who that was, but it was his sweater. Is it the same he wore in this vid? I am too colorblind to make out what color that thing is.

I'm pretty positive it is the same sweater he wore up there. The color looks right.

Video #3 can't be video #1 from a different POV because there was no "Hello?", and the matt in the corner doesn't seem to have a camera (even if it's possible). Of course, this could be the Lost Tape from a different POV, but so far, it's STILL not good evidence of time travel. I'm with the squatter theory til we know better. Besides, this may be the best way to encourage matt to go back.

If it is time travel then did Matt steal the last tape and why was it stolen? Also could it have been Matt driving the car from the blog post or does the time travel only apply within the house? It would also be more like overlapping timelines.

For this to be time travel, since OOG you can't actually do it, we'd need to show that something in the past of the game predicts future events or conditions accurately. So far, I don't see anything definitive - the shoes in found tape#1 are probably the strongest case, and that's too easily explained as an OOG thing. The missing time is again too easily explained as one of many things other than time travel; besides if it's TT then it's only to the future, which makes for very very boring time travel stories.

And the PM did have some good opportunities to "prove" time travel:

- Matt could have been filmed as doing the Guy grafitti - or filmed the wall on his visit without the grafitti
- Get a dog
- Make Matt's visits to the attic sync up
- Take a watch to the attic, then compare times - Matt said he doesn't carry any watch (and presumably not his mobile to the attic either).
- Make the guy in filmed tape #3 more distinctively Matt

On the other hand, we have the whole psychosurgery angle which doesn't really mesh in any meaningful way with time travel and which we have not really explored yet.

I am not saying we should discount time travel - we don't have any proof to the contrary after all - but we shouldn't focus on it too much, since it probably would lead us the wrong way.

So, that said, does anybody have any smart ideas how we could pick up from where we are? I sent him an email, but that's just fishing in the dark, so to speak; mainly I wonder if he has had any past connections to the area.

Re-checked that part of the tape and he's pretty much only shining his lamp at the wall there I think. Sure it's 2:11? I really can't see anything special there. (Damn why did Matt not hear of HD videos!)

Just checked the vid myself. It's as he pans back towards the attic opening. It looks like a mannequin wedged between the roof and one of the support beams OR someone peering around them.

Yes, I too can hear some music. Plus, the fact is there was a person there, and Matt ran away. It really doesn't matter if it's Matt or not, what would you do if you found somebody in your attic?
Also, is there a possibility that
