I don't know if anyone followed up on this, so I did.

He says (in email) that he doesn't wear a watch.

I have him further encouragement to go back up, but with a "safety net" so to speak. Offered, on the blog, to help with ideas for planning that safety net.

In my email reply, I suggested that he could interview his neighbours; I also suggested that he should drive around to see if the factory type place is anywhere nearby, or to check the woods to see if he can find the bar-and-rope type thing from video#1.

Finally, I asked if the house was a cheap deal, and whether he or the neighbours know why the previous owners left.

lol i sent him an email saying it was a good idea to take a freind. wished him luck offered my help. also mentioned the thrid tape and asked if there was a possibility someone broke in when he was away. no responce yet..

Just got home and checked my mail. Got the same thing, no watch. LOL Suggested when he goes back up maybe he should take one... and also agreed about taking a friend.

So, I emailed him to ask about his location, so I could look around to see if the building in Video 2 has some sort of "spooooky" background.

Was thinking a bit about this today and had an idea. We've discussed the possibility of the attic being a time warp, what with what happened in the video before. Could it be that the videos he found in the attic where ones Matt left in the future for his past self?

Just pondering, I blame it on watching Prince of Darkness recently.

Anyone else have thoughts on this?

I was contemplating that myself earlier today. Could explain if we do see any of his belongings in the videos.

Nice to know someone else had the same idea! But it does beg the question, if Matt is leaving the tapes behind for himself, what is he trying to say? And why be so darn cryptic?

if, hypothetically, this is a time warp situation... do you think it's possible that the person driving the car was matt? also, in either case... do you think that there is any significance in the amount of times that the horn was honked, and the engine revved? three times each. same number of initial tapes.

I think it's completely possible that Matt is looping in on himself, but that's just one of the thousand crazy ideas of what might be happening. We really need more data! But in the meantime, do try to find "By his bootstraps" by Robert A. Heinlein. It's an awesome short story on this type of time warp.

I agree the machine in vid 2 is probably what the sound was. If this was not an ARG I would just say the stress of what Matt's been going through is causing him to dream of the source of that stress. But being an ARG it's probably more than just that.
