A guest said that based on the grid, "ENCOMGREETINGS" couldn't be the solution. I can't believe we're actually stuck lol. Like I can't even sleep right now, my brain (and I'm sure everyone else's) is on the fritz trying to come up with a sensible and possible way to figure this thing out. Does anyone know where to find a praxinoscope?

I think I saw one in a museum once. It's a metal drum on a stick that spins around, and by peeking in the slits you could see a man on a galloping horse. That's what we're talking about, right? Confused

What if the same principle is applied? If the strips are put in an animation, could we, say, see dots moving certain ways, perhaps tracing paths? Does anyone know how to make this happen? If this is a ludicrous idea, just chalk it up to my sugar-induced headache. @_@

Well you two haven't offered up any suggestions.

I think this could work, I just don't know how to do it. I had thought maybe pictures of the blacklighted strips run through a program like powerpoint at a fast rate could generate a hidden message.

Ah, well since that series of photos sat on the thread for a while now and no one chimed in with the answer, I posted my guess here. Thanks for the confirmation, good to know.

I found a site that can string together images for free: makeagif.com Perhaps someone with four reasonably cleaned and sized images can put it together? I made one for mach1monorail's images of ARCWARS and KRAZBOT ONLY from page 1:

Alright everyone, stare at that for a while, and tell me what you see!

It may not be a magnetic stripe but ...

... what if the black stripe is a just visual cue, something that looks similar to something we might already be familiar with?

I thought it reminded me of a compact cassette tape before. I used to use them to load up games on an old computer when I was a kid in the 80's.

I've been poking around on Wikipedia, and here are a couple of pages.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compact_Cassette#Data_recording

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnetic_tape_data_storage#Block_layout

Could the squares under the black stripe be meant to _resemble_ audio or data on a tape?

Now I definitely see a cassette tape running.

I kinda think that's going a bit farther out of the box than they're intending. At this point I think waiting until Wednesday for possibly another clue would be the best option. We've regressed from coding to Victorian era "motion pictures" to try and figure out these four postcards. We may be banging our heads into a wall over a small set of clues that simply CAN'T be figured out, yet. A computer IT buddy of mine took a look at my Astro Gunner card and said the only thing it resembled, that he knows of, is the old Programming Punch Cards. Yes, I know that's been brought up, I even mentioned it back on like page 2 or something. I think we have to wait for further contact at this point.

Likewise. I wanted to be ahead of any updates, but it's just not happening. I like to think outside the box, it's what I do, but I might be too far from the container this time.
