Call me crazy, but how was this puzzle solved? Some are still getting postcards. I've not seen any posts with determinative evidence. In addition, there are no posts with a full overlay of all known cards. I know about the ENCOM Japan site, the Circuit Cycles and the new countdown, but again; How is the postcard puzzle solved? Sad
Because the postcards led to the japanese site with the game. Remember we were trying to figure out the code in the black bars? The second edition of postcards (Space Paranoids and D-Con 4) held the last two pieces of the puzzle. Putting the codes together led to ENCOMGAMESDOTJP

Hmmm... just came home to find a pleasant surprise waiting for me in the mailbox - an envelope from Flynn Lives, containing all SEVEN postcards! Yes, seven - the four from the first round, plus the "Space Paranoids" and "D-Con 4" cards from the second round, and a "Circuit Cycles" card that seems to finish the set! It has no black bar on the back, but it does have some Japanese text on the back (it appears to be a translation of the English text above it, which is a description of the game). Also, the front does NOT say "Now Playing At Your Local Arcade" like all the others do; rather, it says www.encomgames.jp in the same spot.

I'll try to get some pics up as soon as I can!

Did you beat all 32 levels of the Circuit Cycles game? Cause this might be our reward for doing that!

Huge congrats. Have any idea how you got the set? I was hoping that if you finished the Circuit Cycles series you got them all. what was your final score? did you get a post card prior to this set?

Now that would be a proper swag for finishing such a HARD new ARG, I just KNOW that japanese on the FlynnLives Envelope definitely will, when translated, will confirm it is from the Cycles achievement! I finished all 32 levels, so I am REALLY HYPED to wait to see what I get in my mail! Wink Thanks for the info AKComic, much appreciated, can't wait for your pics Wink !

Ok, pics as promised; here's a look at that missing 7th card:

...and the back:

...and a close-up of that Japanese text:

So... can somebody read Japanese? I took two years of Japanese in high school, but unless the message says "Where is the bathroom?", I'm not going to be able to decipher it. Razz

Oh, and yes - I was one of the first people to beat all 32 levels on Circuit Cycles, which is why I'm guessing I received this. Although I AM also registered for Comic-Con as press...

If my 4 years of high school 'Japanese' classes fail me, then that Japanese Text is of the English paragraph above it, notice the commas between the characters in the 2nd line of Japanese. Anyone else got any Japanese vanac grasp?

The Japanese and the English are definitely equivalent text.

Thanks for the additional confirmation Rogi, I was still hoping they would have at least put some 'further hints' of ARGs that will most likely be running parallel with Comic-Con. Wink Thanks for the pictures, though, look REAL NICE Wink!

Yep, that's my assumption of what it is too, but it never hurts to check. After all, it's just like the saying my dear ol' Grannie used to quote - "When you 'assume', you make... a bad ARG player." Razz

In a pinch, run it through translate.google.com as English to Japanese and then use the result in a Japanese to English translation.

Yep, that was the first thing I thought of - I ran the English text through Babelfish, but the Japanese translation that came up looked completely different. I'm guessing it just put everything in hirigana, though, while I believe parts of the card text are in katakana (Hey, whaddya know - I DO remember something from high school Japanese class! Rolling Eyes ).

I got a set too! Smile And yes, I finished all 32 levels of Circuit Cycles and I think I might've been one of the first few who did. I am not registered to go to Comic Con, so I figure this might be for completing Circuit Cycles. (Score was around 65k, I think.)

I have a feeling that it doesn't matter if you were "among the first" to beat all 32 levels, since that's something that's kind of hard to ascertain; they don't tell you, and there are almost certainly players we don't know about that may be ahead of the curve. I think that anyone who finishes all the levels before the SDCC is going to get a full set of postcards. After all, postcards, compared to pins and ENCOM badges, are relatively cheap and easy to ship. You can print out thousands at low cost.

Of course, for you collectors out there, it means your postcards are not going to be valuable for a very long time, if at all.

Since I beat all the levels, I'm hoping I get a full set of cards. I might frame them together, might make for a neat "retro" decor.
