Great list.

July 4th would certainly make a great opening date for the Poppeteers website...

Interesting experiment!

Though to continue following it, you'd have to be very stringent in also listing any clue releases that do NOT coincide with a 'space date' as well, to truly tell if a pattern exists or if it's simply random coincidence.

One must admit, that's a fairly full calendar list of dates, even just using "significant" highlights. It wouldn't be hard to hit some of them by utter chance, and missing others could be just as random. A matching pattern would have to be very strong to imply deliberate choices. We'll see.

Nice work MultiPsy!! I don't know if it will be added at a later time(hope so); but the launch of the SpaceX Falcon 9 would be a nice add to the game..! Razz

That would not be "Next Summer" ... that would be Next "Spring."

True, but in the movie world, May is the start of the summer release season mainly due to it having the first "summer" season holiday and the growing influx of out-of-school ticket buyers.

New clue in next 48h

Okay, so the pattern still holds. And if anyone has been following, the 4th/5th (timezone issues I'm sure) is crunch time for this theory. Hopefully a nice new clue in the next 48h Cool

.... though failing that I'd still hang on for 20th

True, but in the movie world, May is the start of the summer release season mainly due to it having the first "summer" season holiday and the growing influx of out-of-school ticket buyers.

In the movie world, summer begins the weekend of Memorial Day.
School, on the other hand, does not let out until mid June.
In 2011, the first day of Summer would be June 22 - A Wednesday.

Also, in the Summer months, many movies are released on a Wednesday!
The closest date multipsychoapopheniosis had to offer was:
"June 21, 2004 First Manned Private Space Flight *NEW PRINTOUT "

My first thought would have been July 1, 2011. But that would put Super 8 up against another Paramount release: Transformers 3 (wouldn't work).
http://www.themovieinsider.com/movie-releases/-/2011/

Not much in the way of competition that week:
Jun 17
Green Lantern
Jun 24
Cars 2: World Grand Prix, Rise of the Apes

****SIDE NOTE****
Recent Wednesday Summer releases:
Wednesday, June 16
Stonewall Uprising
Wednesday, June 23
Knight and Day
Wednesday, June 30
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse
