Has anyone considered entering the answer to the number of stars on that rocket poppeteers letter? Figure it's a long shot but why not.

Its been mentioned but I dont think anyones tried it, or at least they haven't reported back if they have. I think the school of thought is that they would have asked us to re-send the answer on the letter, seeing as its supposedly aimed at children. Who knows though

A ruling on the trout?

Euchre;

I thought trouting without a link warrants a flounder Flounder ; not as serious as a trout Trout , or the nefarious coelacanth.

Can we get an offishal Laughing ruling?

It would have been exact, but on the other hand it does refer specifically back to the original mention which should have been easy to catch.

My vote: no Flounder for Ifso. A link will avoid Floundering in the future, but "look back one page for your answer" carries sufficient Trouty weight in this instance, IMO.

No linky, no fishy!

Linky with no fishy gets you flat fishy!
Fishy with no linky gets you flat fishy!
No fishy and no linky is no trout!

I trouted someone with a link when it was 2 posts back. If they didn't read that far, they need to be slapped with the fishy.

I think someone should jus do it i mean wats the harm, and if ne1 has already sent the # at least tell us. if thats not whhat they wanted then im sure they will get a prettyful letter back saying how they should respond.

and i looked a page baq doesnt look like ne1 has tried jus sending the #of stars to the return address yet

Attempts

Lots of suggestions, people could actually try themselves as it is really easily...

Using SKYPE where it's free, and can be done anywhere in the world, dial:
Quote:

+118007082151

Press * when the message begins

Then put in any number you think is relevant.

Here are my attempts:

    Craiglist Pins (based on position):
    74269#

    Craiglist clock:
    112436#
    232436#

    Golden (sounding) Notes:
    7679122#
    7679125#
    4643122#
    4649122#
    4643125#
    4649125#

... Also ran through a DTMF audio to note converter (no joy) and played note to answerphone (though not very well, may be worth a reattempt)

    Golden Ratio:

    16180339#
    1618033#

    Fibonacci Sequence:
    112358#
    1123581321#

    Stars:
    140#
    139#
    17#

    Josh:
    1963#

    Super 8:
    8#

Any other ideas???

No, no replies have come back from that venture. The first one took two months or less, remember?
