Well the day is almost over and I've received no more emails or a phone call (We did get 2 private callers but as a matter of course we don't answer those and they didn't leave messages...)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As an aside I just realized I never checked the email that the booking receipt came from. Ironically it came from land_elsewhere at mac.com.

ETA: Now that I think about it the purple must mean that there's a pending reservation for that date, and there have been several today, and several comments on the main page, none of which have been approved. So either they've taken the day off, or haven't checked up on the site yet.

This looks fun! Not too involved, but it will definitely be interesting to watch it develop. I left a couple comments on Pleasanton's site, and booked an appt on the 31st. No confirmation yet.

I've been trying to be pretty involved in this one. I absolutely love the actors, and have known of several of the dancers for years. Signed up for the 22nd for Pleasanton, gave a little humor with my condition. I hope the doctor can help me remove my foot from my mouth!

I've been trying to get into contact with Cole, too, especially since the PM's website says we can interact with him, but no luck so far. I'm keeping my eye out for new websites from the hints on the Pleasanton site, but so far nothing has turned up. Most likely we'll all need to poke people who're working at the hospital.

Just joining

Hiya! I just found out about this last night, and watched the three videos. Still playing catch up, I think. At any rate, I did see the gps coordinates, and that they are in Iowa, but has anyone actually been out there yet? I am in Iowa and could check it out Monday. Also, any wikis yet?

AFAIK, the answer to both your questions is "No".

Definitely looks like the PM's are off for the weekend...or something. As only my 3 comments are showing on the hospital site. Weird though I made 2 comments (by mistake, only meant to make 1) on colewaters mentioning the hospital by name that haven't been approved but 2 other people's comments got approved, including a character from Page 129 arg o.0

I don't think the PM is off today. About an hour ago, my reservation at Pleasanton Hospital was accepted. Confirmation came from land_elsewhere e-mail address.

Not much else to update today. All leads have been dead-ends, and social interaction is null at the moment.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think the PM bit off a bit more than he could chew with this one. ^^;

You're right all the pending reservations have gone through, but I still don't see any new comments on the site :/

Got my confirmation for the 31st. I'm hoping this will get more interactive as time goes on-- it's obviously a high-budget project, and the plot has some crazy ARG potential. But assuming we're dealing with a new PM, it could take a while to get organized... in the meantime we have the series Smile

This is my first ARG, and I'm hoping it turns out to be fun. I scheduled an appointment for the 23rd and received an email receipt. Excited to see what's up next.

Extraordinary 7

Been following The LXD for a while (love it!!) and just thought I might throw my 2 cents in about the 7's showing up in the episodes that notgordian had mentioned.

First off, the non-meta clue I found: according to his character bio, Jimmy Angel came in contact with an Extraordinary 7 artifact.

And the completely meta clue I found that may explain the 7 reference or may just add to this "Extraordinary 7" mystery:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A Google search for "Extraordinary 7" leads to "Extraodinary 7 Productions", which doesn't really have any official info about it but gets a mention in this intern job posting on the USC Marshall School of Business website: http://www.marshall.usc.edu/assets/095/17935.pdf [link here]

Page 7 (haha!) of the PDF describes that Extraordinary 7 Productions was a company founded by director Jon M. Chu (fyi a USC alum I believe) for the LXD series.

Whether or not the 7 has deeper meaning to the LXD storyline remains to be seen, but this might be a hint.

Not much to work with for this week's installments (double feature!) but I am curious about the Chinese character on one of the Lettermakers' pants.

Lot of backstory revealed through the character bios, though. Tendo's Character Bio indicates the other side in the Uprising is Organization X.

Chapters 4 & 5 are out. Super awesome stuff! You should go watch before reading on, cos I'm gonna talk about that now. Also, big news, it is coming to international viewers. It's not there yet, but the director is really, really working on it, and has much love fFor international support.

fFirst thing's fFirst. Spex. Kinda fFunny that he was working as a lawyer at the very same hospital that the Dark Doctor and Dark Nurse dwell. Keep your enemies closer?

Summary so fFar: Spex called the Letter makers into action, and they, in their fFunction, summoned Trevor Drift, Jimmy Angel, and Justin Starr. They appear to have dropped a letter to someone else .... you know, fFor being so important, those letters sure do seem to get dropped a lot!

I'm pondering what order these videos go in. "The Tale of Trevor Drift" and "Antigravity Heroes" come before "The Lettermakers," but I think after "The Uprising Begins." And I have no idea where "Robot Lovestory" fFalls, but I fFeel like it is in the past somewhere.

It is this: http://www.chinalanguage.com/dictionaries/ccdict/?action=view&query=4F8D&encoding=text&mode=bushou

It means:
Quote:
[v] serve; wait upon [2] [v] accompany one's elder or superior [3] [n] designation for oneself when addressing an elder or superior [4] [v] attendant

edit: you know, this chinalanguage site is probably the most usable chinese dictionary i've ever seen and covers all the writing styles. if anyone wants to learn how to (easily) look up chinese characters, ping me.

Unless I'm incorrect, I believe that "The Lettermakers" happens before everything. Everyone who got a letter had to have it written first before they got it...so, The Lettermakers had to write it. And remember the first video, Mr. Video-Introducer-Man said "...we must begin in the middle."

ETA:

Well, not before everything. I think the order is roughly this:

The Uprising Begins
At least part of The Lettermakers
Trevor
Antigravity
Robot
