I'd add to that my earlier wild guess that Scratch might have had something to do with the addition of screenshots to the logs. I also thought those screenshots might have been what convinced some (all?) of the gang to leave Caesar.

3. The e-mail explaining the phone call. BS! Something did cause the server to randomly dial etc., but it WAS NOT a thunderstorm and it WAS the same thing that caused the site to freak out. Whatever it was, it did not affect their voicemail system, btw.

[...]

I'm not even gonna attempt to explain this now. However, I wonder if the phonecall was pre-recorded or a recording of what was happening at Aqaupolis at the time of the phonecall. The timing screw-up suggests that something happens in Aquapolis on Oct. 31 – could it be reflected in the phonecall?

Wow yanka, great work at reconstructing what happened that day!

To try and speculate a bit about the phonecall and it's connections with other characters and events, I'd like to add the following thoughts:

- On considering wether or not the phonecall was pre-recorded, I was wondering if, besides the Aquapolis security-system logs and security-camera "logs" (stored pictures), there could also be voice-logs of certain events, like the way 911 records incoming phonecalls.

- As to Scratch's relation to all this, it has been considered a lot that Scratch and his gang are actually trying to uncover something that is (illegally?) happening at Metacortex/Aquapolis. What if Scratch hacked into Metacortechs.com to retrieve these "voice-logs" and send them to as much people as possible (i.e. use the Metacortechs phone-number database for that, because it was at hand) in order to shed light on what's happening, thereby disturbing the Metacortechs webserver, scrambling it?

In any way I agree that the different storylines are slowly converging, bringing Beth, Metacortex, MLO, The Aquapolis and Katherine more and more together. At the same time we've been introduced to Leo Kane, Wongmo, Leiphe and The Nekodas, of who we still do not really now how they are all connected... imho we still have a long way to go before we figure out what exactly is going on Smile

Long way to go?

Revolutions opens the day after tomorrow. It pretty much has to start coming together pretty quickly at this point.

Unless we were all horribly misled, but I'm still hoping that's not the case.

What makes you think it has to wrap up on the 5th? It might continue to the beginning of The Matrix Online, early 2004, or it might not end based on a matrix relevant date, could go on till xmas, end of november, or summer next year. My guess is that it will at least go on till december, with a nice treat at xmas...i cant see it wrapping up by the 5th, I'd say at least another month of stuff to go. Hope so anyway Smile

Huh? Do you really still think this will be done in 2 days?? I do not believe that in any way... there are way too many loose ends, no update today (probably will be tomorrow), but one update will not be suffcicient to clear it all up...

I am really hoping for some "easter-egg" hint at the Revolutions premiere in two days though... would be fun... their way of saying "fooled ya!" Smile

That'd be great to see, Giskard.

Or has anyone checked the Revolutions posters yet for any clues, ala The Beast? Wink

This is going to take a while to play out, methinks. At least I hope the PMs don't decide to just up and leave us hanging.

Dou you think it is possible that in the next film they might put in some stuff related to the ARG (subtle hints) so that everyone who knows about it will go "Ohhh" and "Ahhh" and all run to the nearest computer?

As cool as that would be, Insomniac, I doubt it'll happen. For one, it's nearly widely accepted this ARG isn't officially sanctioned by WB or the WB. I don't think the PM have anymore insight into Revolutions as we do...

But, we can hope, right?

Yeah, I doubt they have seen it yet, just like us...and no, I must admit, seeing as I've waited so long for it to come out, I wont want to run off to the nearest pc half way through the film lol Smile

Or worse, sitting in the theater, not paying attention to the film, but looking out for clues and other subtle nuances, then writing them down in a notebook or on a PDA.

Or doubly worse, sitting in the theater with wireless access on your mobile device checking the forums, instead of watching...

I'm going to go see it at 7:20pm US Eastern Time...if anyone says anything about spoilers for Revolutions before then, I'll have to hunt you down and kill you. Mr. Green And I mean that in the nicest way possible. (ha, I just had a mental image of me saying that in a Lucy-Lui's-monologue-in-Kill-Bill type of way...never mind)

Seriously, though, I think I'm probably going to just unplug my internet connection that day. It'll be a pretty busy day for my anyway, which is why I'm going all the way at 7:20pm, so it's not like I'll have time for internet browsing. And if I find out how the movie ends on the day of its release...well, I'll just have to go on a mass murdering spree. Hee! Mr. Green
