Attributes and abilities of the 'Slender Man'
any help is appreciated

I just recently started watching these and getting acquainted with the lore of the slender man and the videos, so if I have incorrectly gathered something feel free to let me know. I didn't see any threads about this on the forum so I thought that I may as well get it out there; what do we know about this Slender man? It has not been directly stated that it is a true 'slender man' so I'll try my best to keep this based entirely on what we know from the videos.

First of all, it seems to be able to somehow 'skip' through our realm of existence, going from one place to another in the blink of an eye. I say this because in one of the entries the slender man is seen entering the room, but when Alex wakes up presumably finds nothing. link to the entry coming, it eludes me at the moment.

Second; it could be speculated that it has some form of weakness in regards to cameras both with a single frame ability and video. While on the video the Slender man has moved slowly, retaining a human-like movement and bound to the solid walls and doors that bar its path. This is also supported by the fact that Alex had become obsessed with filming, perhaps to hold the Slender Man still as opposed to recording what happened.

Third; Locked doors and windows don't seem to bar its path. When on camera it is seen standing outside the door, unable to enter. It can be assumed that later in the night it entered the house, but this remains speculation.

Fourth; There may or may not be more than one of them, which would make the teleportation theory mostly obsolete.

Fifth; animals may or may not be bale to sense it, this is shown in entry 2 (I think) where Alex states that his dog is alert as it senses the Operator, and knows that there is something wrong with it.

The last one I have is that the SM has some way of locating his prey, this is unclear as Alex made his escape, but seems fairly reasonable that it has to do with film as the first time alex is near a camera SM shows up.

This is all I have atm, as I determine more I'll update, please post whatever info you have here.

Just a PSA, for you and all the other new folks to the forum: please don't start new threads unless a new piece of MH content has come out or a particular puzzle needs a thread. Smile Stuff like this should go in an existing thread, such as the Season 2 Official Discussion Thread. Just in the interests of keeping our forums neat, tidy, and easy for other new folks to peruse!

Actually, this applies to pretty much all of the new threads that have popped up in the last day or two, but I probably shouldn't spam this post everywhere. >.> So new people, take note!

*edit* Also, for the sake of on-topic interest, "Slenderman" in Marble Hornets has been referred to by the creators as "the Operator", suggesting that our antagonist is a derivative separate creature from Slendy. Not that it changes any of the points you bring up, I suppose!
