(On the topic: what forums are applicable for the reveal of the puppet master? Is it a case of "reveal once the game is over," or is it "just let the game die?" Out of interest, of course )

I don't think that revealing that the game is over on the forums is allowed at all. The meta section is probably your best bet. If you can somehow get the email address of one of the players who follows your game, you can inform them in some way and they can post here... but the point of ARG's, I think, is to find a way to end a game so that you don't have to come out and announce it at all.

You know how at the end of MH, Jay said that he was going to track his friend down and he didn't know when he'd have the use of the internet, and then he thanked us? That's a fairly solid (if "argh, noooo!" inducing) ending. Jafool was weaker in that he could probably have made a stronger connection between going out on the motorcycle and being killed before his character went out and did it.

Those blogs that come out and say, "okay guys, thanks for following along!" seem... I don't know. I don't like them because if you stumble over them later, it's like reading a spoiler before you've even gone through the content!

Ahaha, I suppose that makes a great deal of sense. Why, I watching Entry #21 of Marble Hornets first and being utterly confused; the same would no doubt apply to the blogs.

JAFool made me wonder, since I "got" the connection when I first read it, but I could see how it could be misunderstood. *nods*
