The bus idea's pretty gnarly, actually! And I like it better than anything involving time travel, anyways. Time travel complicates things and I don't trust myself to write anything at all decent involving it... though at the moment I'm not sure that I'm going to join in just yet in any case. _{(So I guess that at this point I'm just flapping my gums!)}

The only time travel I endorse is "you already changed the past." Explain? Why, I was going to.

Scenario: two characters; let's call them Bob and Jim. Bob is the hero of the story, and Jim's the villain. Jim commits atrocities like eating babies and eating a Labrador milkshake; Bob's disgusted, and charges after his enemy. When Bob reached Jim, Jim activates a one-use time travel device to send Bob into the post, before he reveals himself as Bob from the future *scare chord*. Why did Jim commit the atrocities he did, if he was Bob? Because he, as Bob, knew what Jim was going to do and ergo, he knew that he had to do.

...that's a pretty poor example, actually. Nevertheless, it relies on the principle that you cannot change the past, because the past would have already changed. My alternate theory is "if you change the past, the universe shatters and you're screwed up reality! Go you!"

Yeah, time travel sucks.

Wow, I bump this and bam - 11 replies.

Anyhow, I'm looking mainly for character interaction. Characters/personalities should be fairly realistic, however I'm not looking for someone to design every possible dimension of a character. Spend 5 minutes or so thinking up a character, and submit it. That's what I'm looing for.

Also, I think that moving this to a rural area would be for the better. I was planning on having characters hiding around the city around the start of the RP, however a smaller area for a begin-game would make the character interactions much easier to navigate.

@Seraphic - No, Jesus, please no ninja-kick-your-ass-with-slenderman-superhero-douchebag characters.

@Seraphic and Dray - Time travel is a bad idea for an RP. Unless everyone's synchronizing it with other's, we'll just have several different stories going at their own pace in the same topic.

I do have a little experience on this subject.
An RP is basically a work of fiction made by several different people, all controlling different characters and elements in the story.
You can begin by filling out the template that I've included, posting it, and I'll copyandpaste it to the second post. This is your character's designated information, and it is essential for some basic orientation to the RP.

Also, we'll start after I accept 5 characters. After that, anyone may request to join as they'd like.
