A previous post indicated the countdown would be finished on 7/23 @ 11:30 am, it is actual 7/22 @ 11:30.

Whoops. I'll fix it. I made the same mistake on Facebook last night when linking the countdown to my status.

That's when the panel starts...

It starts at 11:15 a.m., actually, according to the programming schedule. Hence the speculation that the countdown page will be showing the new trailer, at roughly the same time that it'll be shown at the TRON: Legacy panel in San Diego.

Here's what I think this countdown might lead to:

1. A new trailer and/or whatever footage will be shown at SDCC that day (most likely)
2. A new scavanger hunt (second-least likely
or, 3. A live stream of the SDCC panel (least likely)

What do you guys think?

1 is pretty likely... it's about time for the main theatrical trailer to hit, given that the film is, what, about 5 months away? There might be an expanded trailer that hits in November, too, that gives away most of the plot, but we should see something. There are also reports that, while the movie is FAR from finished, they want to show us some semi-completed footage, to give us an idea of what the computer world was going to be like.

2, I don't see happening - at least, not in the scope of the Comic-Con panel. Flynn Lives will be focused in San Diego that weekend, so I would be VERY surprised if something new unlocked online. There might be something new downtown, it's true, and it seems pretty obvious that they'd re-use their Arcade building for SOMETHING... but I don't think that's directly connected to the countdown.

3, however, I do think has some potential. Last year, the Star Wars Spectacular was broadcast on G4... although the two hosts from Attack of the Show pretty much ruined the entire event. While it's unlikely, I wouldn't be completely shocked if they did release a special video package to /identityraid when the panel is running.

Hey! That's my wife (Olivia Munn) you're talking about! Lol, just kidding. I find it strange though, that G4 has no current live coverage of SDCC on their programming schedule... Do they usually cover all 4 days?

They're doing live coverage on Sunday.

They've been announcing their live coverage for a while now, but their online schedule doesn't go past the 21st (yet), so it's not visible. Check back tomorrow (or watch) for CC coverage details.

since the guy who works for disney that i talked to last night has already seen a bit more than we have, i figure that another trailer is in order.

also, anyone know who plays the guitarist/musician in the current trailer?

SDCC Panel

I will definitely be at the panel, so I cannot wait to see what that countdown brings. I am also looking forward to meeting some of you Flynn Lives ARG-ers while I am there...

I wasn't able to get tix to comicon, but if we can figure out the trail to be able to get into Flynn's Arcade, I WILL make the trip down there to San Diego and I'll bring others too.

Those of you going to SDCC feel free to let me know if you need some graphics or anything. I made some name badges for folks for the San Fran event and can do the same for SDCC if nothing else.

Wish I could be there but since I can't I can at least live vicariously through you guys and gals and lend a hand to you.
