Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I think that makes sense. Or maybe he was freaking out and squeezed the bottle so hard it burst in his hands. That'd be a pretty good way to embed glass in your hand. I would say he conked himself with it, and that's why his head hurts, but he didn't say he had any glass in his scalp, and I'm sure the paramedics would notice that.

I'll have to double-check; it's been a LOOONG time since I took latin and I've forgotten my parts of speech and conjugation and such. Either interpretation of it is interesting, though. And it IS interesting that A and Lexi have latin- maybe it's a sign they're one and the same, but I almost think it's A mocking Lexi, since he seems to do that a lot. Maybe the title of the blog is aimed at Lexi- which is almost threat-like?

Also, Perennial updated his blog a little with a review of TribeTwelve- pretty cool. I haven't gotten into TribeTwelve so I just skimmed the review, but it is interesting to see someone formerly associated with a (maybe) Slenderblog now looking at slenderblogs and vlogs through a critical lens.

I think Seeking Truth had Zeke going over them for research, but not so in-depth as Perennial seems to be going.

And what is this I do not even. New puzzle, three days timer and this time, we get no hints.

Anyone got any ideas? There's no letters, no words, nothing.

I don't know how much of that url is customizable, but the last part says "Dancing Men"...god this one is going to be a brain buster.

I used to have a blog on Blogspot; I believe that the last part of the URL is the original filename. So the filename would be "DancingMen" or some such.

Or they've changed the system and it's a coincidence. A pretty good one, though.

A Dancing Men cipher? Substitution cipher type.

Use Image: Dancing Men

Well, well, well. A most interesting cypher: http://www.cs.trincoll.edu/~crypto/historical/holmes/dancingmen.html

^It's originally from that Sherlock Holmes story, and a damn good one at that. However, the "font" is different from the original, so I still haven't figured it out yet...but here's a decoder for the normal font: http://rumkin.com/tools/cipher/substitution.php it's under "mode of encoding"

I'll work on it later if I can...

EDIT: DAMN! Ninja'd

A cursory look between the two doesn't seem to reveal many similarities, as far as the actual figures go. Maybe it's a red herring?

And I believe it's from The Adventure of the Dancing Men, as a quick look at my short story collection reveals.

There are some similarities, it's actually rather frustrating trying to match them up. As it is, there are apparently several variations. So this is simply harder than it looks.

I say confirmed. It was in response to my comment about being from Sherlock Holmes.

I wish you luck on working it out, grieck.

And a Twitter update;

Not a lot to it, really.

I tried to brute force it by replacing the images with alphabetic characters and then running that through a cryptogram solver. (Is that considered cheating? It felt kind of like cheating.)

I'm only about 80% confident that my encoding of the images into letters is accurate, and I could only get the first 1000 results. Only one of them jumped out at me as being interesting:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
numb us its aching

Sounds more like Lexi than A, though.

(I hate the possibility that this will turn out to be a split personality story.)

It does suggest A has a god complex. Or at least a Jesus complex. Smile

Hmm...maybe we should try to decode it by using the same method Holmes did? As in, the most common symbol is "E" etc.? Because this cipher, while it resembles Holmes' original, may be completely different as far as which symbols = what letter; adding to this is the fact that some of the symbols have almost no resemblance to (or two have resemblance to the same) the originals.

Just a thought.

Comparing the direct link above with the blog post, they look a bit different; take a look at the last Man on the third line. It's a slightly different pose, pointing in the opposite direction.

Puppet master shenanigans, or...?

Nothing's different when I look.

Damn this is a pain in the ass. I think the first letter is M, second is either I A or O (looks like O).

But i think Samus is right. (so the second line first letter is A I or O) This isn't a cipher puzzle, but a word one.
