Comparing the direct link above with the blog post, they look a bit different; take a look at the last Man on the third line. It's a slightly different pose, pointing in the opposite direction.

Puppet master shenanigans, or...?

You may be onto something. When I first tried working on it, I'm pretty sure that the last Men on lines three and four were different, where now they're the same. IIRC, (4,6) was originally more like (4,2) with a shorter right arm. Maybe there was a mistake in the original graphic, and you caught it as the correction was being put in place?

I may be off a little bit, since the Sherlock Holmes idea seems like a good, valid one, but the first thing that jumped out at me when I saw the "dancing men" were runes- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Runic_alphabet There was a lot of connection to Wales early on, whereas runes are more Eupropean, more german, but man 7, for example, resembles an F to me....

I may be way off. I can't think of a single word with "f" as the middle letter, so this is pretty impractical.

An interesting possibility! Perhaps some of the Men are designed to look like things like runes as hints to their meaning?

Anyway, new tweet.

"Lord of the castle" seems to work as a solution. Anybody want to check my work?

Ah, I realize now that it might have sounded like I had a mathematical proof or something to offer up. Smile

It's nothing fancy, and my train of reasoning would probably bore people to tears. I just hoped someone would double-check that my solution matched up with the Dancing Men. Grieck's numeric interpretation matches up with the alphabetic cryptogram I derived from the picture (or at least the corrected one after Seraphic Adonis's note about the possible discrepancy), and his numbers were a lot easier to work with than my letters.

If my "translation" works with the cipher provided by Grieck, and if his cipher matches up accurately with the picture, then we at least have a possible solution. Whether it's the solution A is looking for is, of course, another question entirely.

(I am ridiculously verbose today. Apologies.)

I'm mildly hopeful that this is the actual solution, since the title of the post in which the puzzle appeared is "Imprisoned", while the body of the post doesn't seem to have anything to do with imprisonment. The last puzzle was about a walk in Lancaster, though, and Lancaster Castle is currently in use as a prison, so there seems to be at least a tenuous connection between the two puzzles through the current post's title.

And now I feel like a character out of Foucault's Pendulum.

At the very least, the symbols that match with your 'l', 'o', 't', and 'e' match up in each place shown on the image! I'd say, try to pass it by him! (congrats, by the way!)

Thanks, Dray! Looks like that's what he was looking for.

Judging from his latest tweets, I'm not sure that's a good thing.

Yeah, he seems to think
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Lord of the Castle
is the correct solution.

And his new tweets;

New A tweets:

"...it wasn't meant to happen today. "

"I'll just have to... take advantage... of the opportunity. Teehee~hee~hee~hee~~~ <33333~~~~ "

Also new blog post from Lexi, horror elements just took center stage.

I'd presume that A's talking about the blog post when he's tweeting, but it's open to interpretation.

Does anyone feel like maybe this... THING that's happening to Lexi now happened to A before? All those comments about being unable to get out of the labyrinth... all those tweets in code, the "empleh"?

Anyways, this is feeling more and more House Of Leaves-y. The space distortion, the maze... I'm leaving a comment to Lexi offering him advice D:

Keep in mind A's latest tweet: "#letmein"

Sounds heavely related to Lexi's Labyrinth

So I don't suppose A is the one who ORCHESTRATED Lexi's labyrinth- he did say this wasn't supposed to happen yet, but he was going to roll with it. If A didn't do it, who did? Is this Slendy business? I'm still not all that sure if this is a legit slenderblog or just a paranormal-creepiness blog. It's been a little connected to other slenderblogs through a's commenting, that's for sure, but they've taken a good amount of time and haven't so much as MENTIONED slendy yet. If this DOES turn out to be a slendyblog, I have to congratulate it on the pacing.
