ROFLPWNED THE DRAGON Razz

I kept out a little bit of yesterdays reply to TV just in case my plan didnt work, but I told Mrs. Nibbles to go eat that dragon... and here's what I got today :

Quote:
"Must be a bit of undigested beef... " the Great Wizard of the Neighborhood says, turning himself back to the normal Sammy he was when he arrived in Transition Village.

One traveler salutes at the place where Earl fell.

She assists you in helping the others up.

The translator whispers to you, "Mrs. Nibbles will follow us, surely? I think we need all the aid we can get to rescue that poor flannel-shirted ghost. Although, do you have any ideas about how we can do that?"

After helping every ghost and traveler you see to his or her feet, you place your tiny furball friend onto the ground and whisper that she should feel absolutely free to devour that nasty dragon that did such a horrible thing to Earl.

She purrs lovingly and strokes her body against your foot.

Then, with vicious quickness, Mrs. Nibbles leaps into the air and sinks her teeth into the dragon's neck. The dragon howls in pain, but it seems incapable of escaping. Mrs. Nibbles must have a stronger hold than it would seem possible.

You watch in mixed horror and amazement as the itty bitty kitten chomps through the dragon's skin, rapidly devouring the massive yet helpless creature. When the entire thing is gone, Mrs. Nibbles hops down from the tree and pads back to your side, her stomach lolling, her purr louder than ever. She looks up at you sleepily.

The dragon is dead.

Several of your companions, after watching this astonishing feat of feline mastication, leave for the graveyard.

You follow them, Mrs. Nibbles tucked safely in your arms. There, two travelers are gathered at a gate nearby. A strange wisp of a ghost that slightly resembles a woman floats over to you and speaks.

"There are many graves in this lot," she says. "If you come to revive, you and your friends will need to complete several tasks in short time. I must see two items that have a connection to the deceased. I must also see three life beads. The Governor must receive a visual or audio memorial to the deceased (I can deliver this). And, finally, the child reviver must agree to the group decision. He must be willing to give up that which he wants most."

You notice a car driving up on the other side of the graveyard. There are many people and ghosts in it.

"I should warn you," the ghost woman adds, "that though Earl DeRosa's grave is here, his spirit is not. He has been taken by a savage beast and cannot be revived unless his spirit is returned to this lot."

so, now how do we get Earl's spirit back?

EDIT: in my inventory, I only have a dragon-eating kitten and two lifebeads, so if anyone needs em , let me know... the life beads, not my cat Razz I think I'm keeping her, first cat I'm not allergic to!

kolixela: I'm thinking the dragon is Drake from TV2, or we could somehow communicate with the new dragon like we did with Drake. Anyone seen him lately? Smile

Edit: Oh, ignore me. Didn't notice Absynth had already taken care of it Smile

Could Mrs. Nibbles have "eaten" Earl's spirit out of the dragon?

I have a life bead, a book (Don't Belive Anything in this Book), and a crumpled piece of paper from the same book.

Maybe I could check my book for what we need, well, what we don't need, but by extrapolation what we do need. Sounds like we have enough life beads for two people. Maybe we can revive the pie baker with a drawing of a pie - someone has a notebook, right? As for the memorial; Attention All Artists! Someone can sketch him in his blaze of glory maybe?

I'm lovin' this itty bitty kitty ditty.

TV:
Quote:
You look closely to determine whether this is the same dragon you saved before. Hrm. No. This doesn't seem to be the same one. There must be more than one dragon in these parts. Apparently not all dragons are good. Who knew?

"Must be a bit of undigested beef... " the Great Wizard of the Neighborhood says, turning himself back to the normal Sammy he was when he arrived in Transition Village.

One traveler salutes at the place where Earl fell.

She and another traveler go around helping others up.

Just as you are about to turn to the graveyard, a tiny kitten that appears to be the other helpful traveler's pet does something unbelievable. With vicious quickness, the little, white furball leaps into the air and sinks her teeth into the dragon's neck. The dragon howls in pain, but it seems incapable of escaping. The kitten must have a stronger hold than it would seem possible.

You watch in mixed horror and amazement as the itty bitty feline chomps through the dragon's skin, rapidly devouring the massive yet helpless creature. When the entire thing is gone, she hops down from the tree and pads back to the traveler's side, her stomach lolling, her purr louder than ever. She looks up at him sleepily.

The dragon is dead.

You go with others to the graveyard.

That line about Billy having to give up what he wants the most bothers me.
My response:
Quote:
As my fellow travelers begin emptying their pockets to check if our combined inventory matches up with anyone that can be revived I take note of little Billy. Seeing him so eager to help I can't but worry about what he will have to give up and wonder if the small boy will be up to the task. As I add my (possibly unnecessary) life bead to the small pile I wish that I had grabbed the toy fire engine from the library instead. I would happily give it to Billy in hopes that it may be a tiny bright light in his life.

After smiling at the content kitty with the big belly I begin flipping idly through the book wondering if it contains any non-wisdom that might be of help.

Save the ....
Save the Village?

I'm wondering if we're possibly getting more story if we try to rescue Earl. Didn't the rebel ghosts say they'd stop if they took Earl?

Most of what TV tells me has been the same:
Quote:
This has been a tough battle. The snakes and lizards, some of them badly beaten, all watch you with expressions of deepest respect. It's a victory, but a sad one.

"Must be a bit of undigested beef... " the Great Wizard of the Neighborhood says, turning himself back to the normal Sammy he was when he arrived in Transition Village.

One traveler salutes at the place where Earl fell.

She assists Absynth in helping the others up. You ask Absynth about whether there is anything that can be done to help Earl. Perhaps Ralph… Randy… whatever… is needed? Or maybe something else.

Absynth places his tiny furball friend onto the ground and whispers to her.

She purrs lovingly and strokes her body against his foot.

Then, with vicious quickness, Mrs. Nibbles leaps into the air and sinks her teeth into the dragon's neck. The dragon howls in pain, but it seems incapable of escaping. Mrs. Nibbles must have a stronger hold than it would seem possible.

Maybe I ought to ask our reptile friends if they have any opinions? I have that fire raincoat and possibly an empty bottle of soap. Anything we can do?

Take Care,
Kendra

Well technically the dragon ate Earl

The cat ate the dragon

So Earl's spirit is currently IN the cat

A moment of silence...
For our returning reptile rebellion-fighters

Here's my response to TV. Hopefully, the snakes and lizards will have a few thoughts to share with me:

Quote:
Patting the snake I spoke with earlier and a lizard who looks particularly downtrodden, I say in a more universal reptile tongue, "Let us bow our heads and have a moment of silence."

Turning to my fellow travelers and ghost friends I say, "Let us not forget those who gave their lives or afterlives for us to still be here. A moment of silence."

Bowing my head, I take a few moments to remember every fallen reptile and the ghosts who no longer float among us.

Then with a nod to the snakes and lizards gathered I say to them, "You have all fought valiantly and now must continue to live valiantly in memory of those we have lost. But now I must ask of you, for your wisdom- whom among the ghosts should return if we have a chance to revive them?"

I play Horde and Alliance, just my end game characters are Horde. Seems to be more serious players on the Horde sides from what I have found.

My Response

Quote:
I smile at the youth then turn to the whisp of a woman attending the graveyard.
'Life beads huh?'

I turn to FractalP

"Well I don't know who this Earl is, but it sounds like something needs to be done for him."
"I'm not sure but I think these are the beads she is talking about" I say as I hand FractalP the two life beads.

"I think we need to attend to that second fire" I say smiling to the visitors and ghosts gathered around.

"You two stay here and make sure everything goes alright ok?" I turn and begin to head towards the other fire.

"My destiny calls me elsewhere" I string another arrow and make my way into the unknown
Quote:
One of the travelers kneels down to face Billy. "No one knows why they're special, Billy," she says. "They just are. It's much better than being un-special, if you ask me. Lots and lots of people are very, very un-special. Myself included. Some people give their lives or more just to be special." Billy looks at her as if he is memorizing every syllable.

Another traveler also leans down to Billy and says, "Kiddo, listen. We all have a purpose in life. A destiny if you will. Some people are destined to be butchers, or bakers. Some," he continues, looking at some burns on his own flesh, "are destined to be almost burned alive by evil ghost-bakers."

Billy nods knowingly.

"Very few people know what their true destiny is, and they're the lucky ones. However, I can tell you this, Billy. Everyone is special, and everyone has a purpose. It just seems like you might have a slightly more... important purpose. But I believe in you, kiddo. We all believe in you."

Then it's your turn. You give him a pep talk combined with a magic trick. The perfect grande finale. Billy watches in wonderment as the coin glide across your knuckles. When you give him the gift, his transparent eyes sparkle.

Then he reaches out to touch another traveler's arm. He looks at everyone in the group. "I know that you are special," Billy says, "because the Governor brought you here. You and your friends have saved our home. I just want to repay you."

His parents smile. There are tears in his mother's eyes. She whispers to you, "He is such a brave boy. Thank you all for believing in us."

You express that it is time to save the church first.

The other traveler stands up and rubs his glasses clean on his shirt and says, "I don't believe we've met. I'm FractalP."

Then he turns to another ghost woman and asks, "Hi there! Listen, I was wondering. I have this horseshoe here which scared off the ghosts earlier, but I don't know why. Could it be something to do with the Frenghif iron in it?"

Several ghosts utter hushed gasps. The old man answers, "Yes. Many ghosts have severe reactions to this type of iron, but not all. It permanently burns those of us with a weakness for the material. That is a powerful weapon you hold."

You go to the church and pull out the blue freeze gun. Holding the cold metal in your hands, you blast the fire with a thick, blue gel that instantly sets the church to simmering in the chilly air outside. The sound of crackling wood stops.

With that done you return to your group, string a bow, and nock an arrow.

The other traveler rounds up the ghosts from the church, squeezing the spirits into her motorcar. You join them, just barely fitting into the back seat. As soon as everyone is settled, the traveler hits the gas and takes all of you to the graveyard.

It's at the north end of the village, just before a large mansion. To your right, something burns. There is a large commotion going on just over there, but you can't see what it is.

As you approach the open gates of the graveyard, a soft voice says, "There are many graves in this lot." You look. It is merely a thin thread of air that resembles a woman speaking to you. "If you come to revive, you and your friends will need to complete several tasks in short time. I must see two items that have a connection to the deceased. I must also see three life beads. The Governor must receive a visual or audio memorial to the deceased (I can deliver this). And, finally," the ghost says, her voice trailing off. "Ah, Billy. You have come. The final ingredient is here. As long as Billy agrees, then the work can be completed."

You look at Billy, who is beaming. He looks proud to be so helpful.

"I should warn you," the ghost woman adds, "that though Earl DeRosa's grave is here, his spirit is not. He has been taken by a savage beast and cannot be revived unless his spirit is returned to this lot."

Hum... okay, so I think we're missing 1 life bead and 1 audio or visual memorial to Earl?

Is anyone doing that?
