Okay, so I kind of feel useless and I won't be around later tonight.

Quote:
I feel helpless, out of my depth, and pretty darn useless.

Then, I have a Eureka moment and remember something I saw on the TV. I pull out the purple crayon, tear out a sheet of paper, and try to give the wispy ghost-lady Earl's soul.

This is what I gave her: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/8z24AQhvMn1eP7I2Dp9otA?feat=directlink

I get it now; it means the kitten, not the dragon. Hehe.

Also, I have *no* idea what to do now. I don't think I actually can do anything, except wave around my magic horseshoe.

HEY!!! Mrs. Nibbles is no savage beast! You take that back right now or i will... i will... umm... well when i think of something threatening and malicious, you better believe I'll reply in kind!

lol sorry im just really bored Smile

Your cat ate a dragon. Dude.

Also, final response! Whee!
Quote:
You squat, eyeing Billy and planning to spring into action the instant someone threatens that poor kid. He's been through enough!

One of your fellow travelers draws something on a piece of paper and hands it to the ghost.

The ghost looks at the paper and then back at the traveler. Another traveler calls out to her, and she turns around, taking the paper with her.

Nessa comes from the other side of the graveyard and says, "Billy…?" Billy runs up and gives her a very happy hug.

The ghost talks to one of the travelers at the other end of the graveyard, and they appear to exchange items. Then, nearly a whole minute later, you see something amazing – the spirit of Earl DeRosa begins to appear!

Earl's ghost, now standing in the middle of the graveyard, looks solemn for the first time ever. He awaits instructions.

"Go and stand on your grave," the ghost tells him.

He obeys. The woman takes the items she has gathered from you and your traveler friends and rubs them together until they become a fine dust. Then she turns to the crowd of ghosts. "Where is Billy?"

The nervous little boy steps forward.

"Billy," the ghost woman says, "what do you want more than anything in the world?"

His head lowered, Billy says, "to be alive."

In the corner of the graveyard, his mother buries her head into his father's shoulder and cries.

"You understand," the graveyard guard says, "that if you revive this man today, you must give up your wish."

Earl frowns. "Now, wait a minute," he says. "I can't be takin' a wish away from any boy." He starts to walk off of his grave, but Billy holds up his little hands.

"Wait." He looks at Earl, and then at all of you, and then at his parents. "I was born a ghost. I'm the only one who's ever been born that way. I used to think that was a bad thing. I used to visit the doctor every day to ask her to fix me. But then I made some friends who explained to me how special I am, and they showed me that we're all special the way we are."

His mother stops crying and looks up, her eyes bright.

"So I'd like to stay the way I am, please. I'd like to revive Earl." Billy smiles wide.

Earl hesitates with one foot on his grave and one foot off, but the ghost guard says, "Let it be." She sprinkles the dust of the necessary items into the air, and then –

Suddenly Earl is alive! He stands in front of all of you, completely solid and breathing, and he lets out a little hoot. Then he runs to Billy and shakes his hand. "You are one amazing kid," he says. "How can I repay you?"

Billy laughs. "You have! The Governor brought all of these people here for you, and they ended up saving us all."

Earl looks around. He blushes. "You're all here for me?"

Then a round man in a top hat enters the graveyard. He addresses you and your traveler friends. "You have all done great deeds – greater deeds than I could have imagined possible. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for our village. All I can tell you is that, though you're going home, I would be honored if you would each be a part of our museum's grand opening. Please send Jan Smoulter an artistic rendering, whether it be a picture, a song, a video, or something else, of your adventures, and we will display it forever in our gallery. Jan will also run your submission for all to appreciate in the village newspaper. Please accept my apologies that there cannot be fireworks this time, as we have lost quite a lot in the recent battle and will need to rebuild. Again, I thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for saving our home." He bows.

You feel the air begin to swirl around your feet, lifting you up momentarily and turning you in all directions. It is disorienting for a moment, and then you settle back down on the ground.

You are in your own home. There is a small statue in your hand of an oven. Across the bottom it reads CUNNING.

I'm not sure if the PM's read the forums, but damn, you guys have done it again. Thanks for another wild ride, and keep being awesome!

Similar response from TV except for the paper on the statue:
Quote:
You worry about Billy but try to distract yourself as you wait for something to happen. Finally, things begin to take place.

First, one of your traveler friends leaves your group to stand with travelers across the way.

Then Absynth calls the ghost over and says, "I think the soul of Earl DeRosa is inside of this kitten. She devoured the dragon that destroyed him, and now she smells curiously of soap. If there is a way to separate the two, I would be most thankful. I do not want to lose this little furball; she has become quite dear to me."

"I have received a sheet of paper that will save the kitten," the ghost responds. "Simply ask your pet to consume this page, and Earl's spirit will materialize."

He gives the kitten the paper, and she devours it in two bites. As she gets back to purring, you notice the ghost of Earl appearing slowly in the middle of the graveyard. It worked!

You are in your own home. There is a small statue in your hand. It is so small that you can't tell what it is of. A piece of paper wrapped around it reads BELIEVE.

Now we are all to submit something representing our time in TV so it can go in the museum!

I wonder if the pieces of paper wrapped around the statues will be a final puzzle? I'm curious about the statue - I wonder what it looks like.

Heres the ending I got, I took out some to save space
Quote:
You call the ghost to you and explain what you believe is happening with Mrs. Nibbles. It seems like the right thing to do, but you're sad at the thought that she might get hurt.

The kitten purrs in your hands as you hold her close, and she snuggles up to your chin.

"I have received a sheet of paper that will save the kitten," the ghost tells you. "Simply ask your pet to consume this page, and Earl's spirit will materialize."

Happily you give Mrs. Nibbles the paper. She devours it in two bites. As she gets back to purring, you notice the ghost of Earl appearing slowly in the middle of the graveyard. It worked!

Earl's ghost, now standing in the middle of the graveyard, looks solemn for the first time ever. He awaits instructions.

(section left out to save space, its the same for us all, i'm sure)

You feel the air begin to swirl around your feet, lifting you up momentarily and turning you in all directions. It is disorienting for a moment, and then you settle back down on the ground.

You are in your own home. There is a tiny, purring puffball in your hands.

Well Done! I do hope the PMs read this, they have indeed done a great job. I have to admit, I was a little teary eyed at the end of it all.

And to everyone else who shared this great journey with me: I hope to see you all again in some other strange dimension. We did it guys and gals! I had a blast and we weaved a great tale together here. I am proud to have gotten a chance to play with you all. Thanks for the great times!
I'm giong to work on a sketch fot the archives, but I'm sure it will take me a little while. I already have a picture forming in my mind. I hate to see it come to an end, but with every ending, comes something new for us to conquer, and I hope to have you guys by my side next time as well.
Cheers
-Absynth

EDIT: Anyone know where I can get some dragon meat? How am I gonna feed this kitten?!?!?!

Back at the Manor

Mine actually came out a little different from everyone else due to where I was for the last day.

Quote:
The Governor gives you some space as you go about burying the fallen. It doesn't matter who did what to whom, as far as you're concerned. These are the dead of battle, and you plan to show them proper respect.

It takes a long time. When you are done, you find that the Governor is waiting for you near the graveyard gates. He says, "I am so thankful for the kind-hearted and dedicated travelers who come to our home. You have worked hard for ghosts you do not even know. I will not forget that, and neither will any soul in this village."

He gestures that he will follow you into the graveyard.

You walk in and see that someone new is here – a young man has been revived, it seems!

The Governor follows you. He addresses everyone in the crowd and says, "You have all done great deeds – greater deeds than I could have imagined possible. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done for our village. All I can tell you is that, though you're going home, I would be honored if you would each be a part of our museum's grand opening. You are in your own home. There is a small statue in your hand of an archer. At the bottom it reads HONOR.

Not sure what to do about the artistic rendering. I have an idea in mind but I am a terrible artist myself Razz

All the same as everyone else in the graveyard except:

You are in your own home. There is a small book in your hands. The title reads SCHOLAR.

I had so much fun, guys. This was a great game. Until next time (which is hopefully very soon...)

Okay, I had a late night, so here's mine:

Quote:
Wondering what else you can do, you try something crazy. You pull out your purple crayon and write out Earl's soul on a sheet of paper. Then you hand it to the ghost.

She looks at the paper and then back at you. Another traveler calls out to her, and she turns around, taking the paper with her.

...

You are in your own home. There is a small pen in your hands. On its side it reads PRESS.

I guess that paper-soul thing helped expectorate the kitten? XD

Fun. Fun. Fun. That's all I have to say . It was super nice playing with all y'all. Some new peeps that I'd never played with. Much love. <3

Randy is active again on Twitter:

Quote:
OMG. You won't believe who just walked in the door.

Quote:
@diszaster IT'S EARL! WOOHOO! Thank you so much for getting my buddy back. I owe you all big time.

edit: FYI: The TV games are "just" ways to leading/transitioning into the next "real game." Now that Randy is active again, there is most likely a new game just around the corner or starting like... right now. XD

This was an awesome trip, everyone! I think this was the most active I've ever been on an ARG, and I really enjoyed getting to know everyone. I'm gonna echo to the PMs if they read this: You guys orchestrated one of the coolest games, ever!

I'm gonna keep my eye out for more from Funnel Productions. Very Happy

Gah, hope I'm not too late!
This one is for you, Governor!

The chaos of work, real life stress- I forgot to submit a move for the finale! But after sixteen tries and three re-recordings, I submitted this. Now in my defense, I was soooo not warmed up, I had to kind of keep quiet for the other folks in my house and the snake language threw my timing off a bit. :>

Quote:
I look at the microphone in my hands, with a memory of the Governor's hosptiality and the faithful reptiles I've met. There's only one thing to do.

I pick up the phone. I finally return the call from my hounding record producer who wants the last track off my new karaoke album of greatest reptile hits. We schedule a time to meet up, I finish my song and then make sure the single has the following dedication:

For all of Transition Villages residents, alive or dead, reptile or human. And to the greatest of the all, our beloved Governor. SSSSSSSSIIITHHHHHFFFFRAAAAA!

And for the Governor, a sneak peek of my single set to drop on shdhdhsaoa or qqqyyyyaaa. We haven't decided yet.

I'll definitely keep my eyes pealed for more games. This was totally fun and I'm glad to have met everyone!

Take Care,
Kendra

Unfortunately, I had to skip most of my turns because I didn't respond to the emails on time, but I still had a lot of fun with this game! I'm glad that I was able to be a part of it! Can't wait to play with you guys on the next FP game!
