Hmmm. I know we had ARGFest in San Francisco in March. Do we have to stay with a summer date? Just throwing that out. Anyway, I really liked San Francisco too. And I don't mind repeating cities.

As for Austin, I wonder if we could do an ARGFest piggyback off of SXSW? Either before or after? It might be a way to get some speakers that will be in Austin anyway and maybe a broader audience.

I can think of four of them within the Miami area. Smile

I've yet to go to SXSW and I was thinking about it next year. I think I'd find it difficult to travel to both SXSW and ARGFest next year, this would be perfect!

You don't want to do after SXSWi - that's when the music portion of SXSW starts and the whole town is a nightmare. Finding a hotel? Forget it. But, before SXSWi is usually not when Spring Break runs, so that's a problem for those with kids. This is an idea that was tossed around previously but the logistics make it pretty tough to work out. I dunno - would it be a huge deal to have ARGFest during the school year?

Also, not sure if there's enough time to start planning 2011 in Austin if it's to be in March.

And there are no tiki bars in Austin. Sad

Shame you didn't make it this year. I was hoping to meet you and have a chat about Project Ophiuchus!

Living about three hours away from argfest 2010, this isn't my year to propose, probably...

But in the interest of making it easier for those that are, is there somewhere that the prior winning (or even not) proposals are displayed? I'm not sure if there's too much personally identifying info on them or something to make that impossible, but a winning form would probably be more informative than an empty one.

And hello everyone that I met this year!

There are plenty of tiki bars around Orlando. We also have theme parks and lots of other fun awesomeness. Wouldn't it be great to have a treasure hunt at Universal Studios? Cool

i can almost assure you, argfest will NOT have events at a park it costs that much a day to visit.

I might as well add that prices are going up for the parks (at least Disney's, anyway).

I should keep quiet... After all, I *do* want it in Florida! Very Happy

The theme parks are definitely expensive. I guess it's not really worth it if you don't live here. There's plenty to do in Florida without going to a theme park, though. Orlando is tourist heaven.

I'd love to see argfest 2011 in Austin too, but if we do it around SxSW, it will be a nightmare logistically.

Whatever city hosts it, I hope to know sooner than later. The game we're writing depends on it. Oh, and hotel info too Wink Pretty please?

Anyone up for DC? Could be cool with all the monuments/museums for side-trips. Plus, I'm ready to do all the footwork needed since I'm local.
