 		on that gas.jpg image, stegdetect says there is some extra data before a marker:

I went to look through the thing in my hex editor, can't find anything particularly glaring sticking out.

I also wrote a little python script to try and work out what's going on with the numbers. The most sensible thing I got so far was:

And that was the second number message. I've assumed 0 is a space. It takes the number and does modulo-26's it, mapping it onto the alphabet. I've also tried shifting it by various numbers, to no particular avail.

I'm not close to any kind of epiphany. But I thought you should maybe try your script with the 4th number from the end added. (first letter of the last word).

EDIT: Which gives me just a load of junk.

I also tried doing an accumulator (so the next number is added to the previous one, then mod-26 or mod-255'd) and that didn't work either. Too many 0's I think.

ETA: I have gone through about a dozen codes trying to get something that mimicked the emails, just with a hope of finding a place to start. Nothing. Some of them I even knew wasn't it and tried any ways.

Now I didn't try to decode it as half of them needed a keyword, but I tried to get anything that would look close to what we have. Nothing was close on the test codes I ran.
