[SOLVED] Next Puzzle: Flynn Lives Postcards Hey!
I'm stoked to be the first person to post about the next puzzle. My dad and I each just got a different postcard from FL with a different video game poster of Flynn's on the front. The important part however is on the back. There is a long black bar longways across the bottom. Shine a blacklight on it and a bunch of squares come up. Someone on here w/ Photoshop skills...needs to edit all the different cards' squares together to spell a message methinks. Pics to come!!!

For those close up shots, remember to set your camera to macro mode. If you look at the settings menu, the dial/knob on top of the camera, or possibly lens (depending on the age of the camera) you'll see a symbol like a flower on most cameras. This is the indicator for macro mode, for such closeup shots.

Sheesh, how the hell are we supposed to descramble that?
Thinking caps time, guys! (Meaning everyone but me, since I'm clueless. )
Maybe they overlay?
Wonder if there's more than two cards... Maybe it requires a joint effort. (And no, I'm not talking about getting stoned. Although if it helps...!)

does that remind anyone else of the old punch cards they used to use to program with? I remember in the earliest stages of programming they'd write code with those punch cards using a special "typewriter". I'm just throwing the thought out there since it's the first thing I thought of. Take my rambling for what you will, just thought it was interesting.

How many bits tall is it? Looks like 6. Could be ASCII text.

Playing around with overlaying them, got nothing yet.
Let's see what we have so far:
- Black bar
- Squares/pixels/bits
- Appears each column can be up to 6 (maybe 8?) squares high
What else do we see...?

Does the 203 on the ArcWars wing mean anything? Area Code is SW Connecticut.

It's gotta come down to having more of these to figure out the message but, if we have to wait for everyone to post it'll take forever. I'm wondering if they've selected certain members to receive these. How close are you to SD Mach1? I'm thinking these will go to members closer to SD. I'm just sayin....
Hey, what about inverting the colors and these overlaying them together? It's a thought....

Blink, when you overlay them do any of the white pixels from one card match up with any from the second?
I'm thinking there's more than two cards and they must all be overlaid to reveal the text. In which case there wouldn't be any white overlaying each other.

i actually just retook the photos, and re-photoshopped 'em, so feel free to open em up on photoshop and mix and match if one part of the code is clearer on the first post than on this one.
im in the San Fernando Valley, about a 3 hour drive from SD.
i suggest we check out arcadeaid and see how many different games created by Flynn exist...that way we can get an idea of how many different postcards there will be.

I wouldn't think they'd just leave out people not in SoCal. That'd pretty much be giving the finger to the rest of us, and I don't think they want to do that. It stands to reason that if this leads to some live stuff at ComicCon, only those close to it can make it - but that doesn't mean we can't all be part of solving the puzzle. Remember that FL is using a SD address, and it looks like the postcards were mailed yesterday - so SoCal folks will probably get them first.
