At this rate any swag of interest will be quite rare. Maybe Tron Legacy was a one-off where ARG swag is concerned.

I didn't play the Dark Knight ARG. But I believe there was Joker Dollar Bills and Newspapers at least. Correct me if I am wrong? Like I said I didn't play.

You mean you didn't get the "how many stars on this page" watermarked letter and accompanying envelope? Or the "please don't bend" envelope with the enclosed certificate of fleet rank?

As far as "freebies," that may just be all she wrote.

But wait, if you act now and shell out plenty 'o' greenbacks, we could still get a t-shirt ($9.95), fleet patch ($3.95), or sticker ($1.95)! (shipping extra--wonder how much they'll nip us for "handling fees?")

Also, they haven't let us know if a credit card is necessary to "fly the rocket ship" once they get them built.

Wonder if they'll accept frequent flyer miles in exchange for flying the rocket? Laughing

Maybe an appropriate t-shirt would be one with lettering such as "I followed the S8 ARG for a year and got to buy a one size fits all t-shirt

. No all I got was the print out certificate. Lol. You summed up what I was thinking pretty much in a nutshell! Yeah if we buy their merchandise? I think we will have funded this ARG! It's been pretty lame I think.

Buy the Poster

well if you want to shell out $18 you can get the SUPER 8 one sheet from movieposter.com. I've been waiting forever for it to come out and mine is now proudly hanging in my room.

Yeah, I mentioned it earlier: the film comes out in the US on the 10th June, which is about 7 weeks from now. Seems like they are leaving it till the last minute... what's going on with the Astronaut Training Program on RP.com?

Does anyone else think that we're missing something?

Makes you wonder whether Bad Robot have had technical issues in RP.com which they can't resolve - so they've ditched the ARG in favor of the s8-editingroom crap...

Disappointment

I gotta say I was also kinda hoping to get some cool trinket out of this thing before the movie started. As time goes by and the chances of getting some cool SWAG before the movie become very slim -

Im just hoping that I might have a different storyline going into the movie.

It seems that we have 4 different 'promos' happening here.

The RP thing is like Slusho.. While it has some relationship to the era of the film, it does not hold clues to the ARG....not yet anyway...

The STIES is the ARG but it seems to be very shallow and not well paced..We spent months waiting for HLM updates and this whole Coelacanth deal only to see it close up on Jan 28th and not a peep since..
We were given EXPCNV and the other files months ago and still not a mention of it again since,..
Mysterioso now says he must bug out so we wont hear from him much more soon, what the hell is going on here? They went thru alotta trouble to design that PDP11 sim and have hardly used it.

The Official Movie Site with the trailers is also not part of the ARG and all those changing clips at the end of the trailers that we took snapshots of seem to be a lead in to ......

The S8 editingroom which is just another promotional site that will give us the last clips the day before the film opens so we can get the backstory of the plot...but has no direct connection to the ARG either..
